Guest guest
For starters you can mix up some liquid grapefruit seed extract with water, and use it to wipe down the sores on her bottom. I've never done it to the kids, but used it on topical yeast on me, and it only feels like wiping with fresh water, no stinging. You could try adding a drop or two of GSE to a fruit juice for her (to disguise the flavor) to treat for internal yeast. My sister-in-law needed to treat my nephew who was about the same age and just used a syringe with some of the dilution in it. She put it as far to the back of his mouth as possible to treat internal yeast. He didn't much care for the flavor, and spit some out, but what did get into him worked. P. Guest guest
Try a sitz bath for her, put 1/2 box baking soda in her bath water and try to get her to stay in there for at least 10 mins, then after the tub let her run around naked for little while to air dry. If you get benefit, do another quick tub in am and pm with baking soda. Also, don't use wipes, just dab at her bottom with lukewarm washcloths until the rash is gone,Good luck, Alison M -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: " Wani " <jocanas@...> > Hi All, > > > > My dd is 28 months and had this HORRIBLE rash on her bottom. Guest guest
Poor little dd! If you are still breastfeeding you may want to check yourself for yeast. You can take the diflucan or probiotics/yeast cleanse to prevent passing the yeast on to her. I had the same experience with my daughter. I had a yeast overgrowth and didn't know and she ended up with bad diaper rashes and thrush. I took some probiotics and it was passed onto her through breastmilk. (check with an ND) There are many recipes for homemade diaper rash creams using vitamins A & D, if it is a severe yeast rash you can put some canestan or monistat external cream on the rash. Good Luck! > > Try a sitz bath for her, put 1/2 box baking soda in her bath water and try to get her to stay in there for at least 10 mins, then after the tub let her run around naked for little while to air dry. Guest guest
sounds a lot like my dd (21 months). Biotin and candex between meals has worked wonders here (she won't do GSE). > > Hi All, > > > > My dd is 28 months and had this HORRIBLE rash on her bottom. It looks like > little red blisters. Guest guest
My daughter had big black areas below her eyes since 2.
