Guest guest
Hi All, We went to our DAN today and she wanted to add Ketoconazole and the Glutathione cream in additon to staying on the Nystatin. I'm a little freaked out about the Ketoconazole because she wants to monitor his liver with blood tests the weeks he is off. We will be on 2 weeks and off 2 weeks and then once again. I appreciate any advice or experiences on both antifungals. Thank you
Guest guest
, My boys were on the Ketoconazole for three months with no problems. They take Liver LIfe for liver support. They just HAVE to play with dangerous chemicals and try to not quite hurt your kid. They can't control themselves, it is compulsive. FIRST try all the natural stuff that isn't hard on the liver, like oregano oil, biotin, coconut oil, etc. THEN if you want an Rx med, use one that is less hard on the liver, like diflucan. Guest guest
Our DAN offered a urine challenge test, and a tetanus vaccine! When I said " when hell freezes over " , he tried to " explain " the " good sense " of it to my husband when I was taking my son to the bathroom. It's enough to make you feel like you are in some sick twisted horror movie. I think I'll see how open minded our new family doc is with ordering any tests we need. > > > Hi All, > > > > We went to our DAN today and she wanted to add Ketoconazole and the > > Glutathione cream in additon to staying on the Nystatin. Guest guest
Ok I have never heard of using oregano oil, coconut oil, biotin. Can you give me more info on this please? How to administer, how often etc... I started using the cream last night, but I am interested in trying these other things first. Biotin was essential for long-term control, because it is what the body uses to control yeast. I would start with 400mcg and work up. My son needed 20mg 3x per day for a while. It does require magnesium for proper absorption. My son did not tolerate oil of oregano, but try starting with one drop in the morning, see how that works. Guest guest
Does it matter with or without food? What is the best way to hide those supplements? > > Ok I have never heard of using oregano oil, coconut oil, biotin. Can > > you give me more info on this please? Guest guest
I thought GSE was for bacteria only? How much magnesium should he get while on Biotin? > > Ok I have never heard of using oregano oil, coconut oil, biotin. Can > > you give me more info on this please? Guest guest
> > Does it matter with or without food? What is the best way to hide > those supplements? Biotin: with or without food. I never noticed much of a taste, so you can give it as a capsule or mix with almost any food. GSE: don't give on an entirely empty stomach, but a little bit of food is okay, or a full meal. It is very bitter, so best to put drops in an empty capsule, or buy capsules or tablets. It will mix relatively well into lemonade, orange juice, grapefruit juice, and tomato juice. Oil of oregano: same as GSE above. Mixes best in tomato juice or Italian meals. Dana
Guest guest
> > I thought GSE was for bacteria only? Mostly for yeast. >>How much magnesium should he get > while on Biotin? Depends on how deficient he is. My son required about 1000mg extra magnesium when I first started biotin, but as his biotin levels normalized, I was able to reduce the magnesium. Basically, I gave enough to prevent magnesium-deficiency symptoms. Dana
