Guest guest
My son's teeth used be so good and white, no filings. But they seems to get smaller in size and also look like they have some dark spots on inside. We been chelating him for one year, have RO water at home, also drinking mineral water, home made tooth paste with soda and glycerin. Any advices as to what to do about it? Special suppl, tooth paste? Thanks a lot Natalia, 's mom, 4 yo

Here is one informative link http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/what_ages_teeth.htm On another list, a mother learned that her son had a lot of lead in the teeth, so when she chelated him the lead came out of the teeth and left behind something similar to what you describe. Do you give calcium plus the supps that calcium requires for proper absorption? Dana
Guest guest
My son has/had hollow looking front teeth which made them a darker/yellow-brown color rather than the solid white. We noticed that with Vitamin K supplementation, within a week the hollow look went away and it was a solid white. We have noticed this again and again when I forget to give him his K for a while and then reintroduce. Also, the outside of his teeth can turn yellow if he's not on a good probiotic. Guest guest
Thanks Dana, He is not getting calcium or the other suppl now, and I was thinking about it. I will talk to our doctor on calcium supplements. What the other ones that needed for calcium absorption? Guest guest
Hello Natalia, Hello All. I am new to this site, have just been lurking for a few days. Very impressive! For your son's tooth problems, I would be tempted to try this product: http://www.uncleharrys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD & Store_Code=UHNP & Pro\ duct_Code=10208 & Category_Code=MP-T I am not affiliated with this product. In fact, I am just ordering it myself, for the first time, so I can not actually attest to whether it works or not. But the information about it is truly interesting and I think leaning in the right direction. Don't forget to click on the " Read more about Uncle Harry's Miracle Alkaline Toothpaste " link under the list of ingredients. The link is not very evident, so I thought I'd point it out. The information on the page it links to is very attention grabbing. Hope this helps. Healthseeker > > My son's teeth used be so good and white, no filings. Guest guest
I've looked at this company, and while their tooth soap seems to clean my teeth just fine, I am not so sure about all their claims about glycerin preventing teeth remineralising. If you look into the glycerin claims, it looks like it's all the work of one guy that all of this work and philosophy is based on, and if you ask for any kind of evidence it turns out it is all theory (although I add hastily that this doesn't mean it is wrong, but it doesn't mean it is right, either). My big problem with their claims is that if glycerin coats the tooth and prevents the remineralisation of the teeth from ions in the saliva, then it ought to prevent the loss of minerals from the tooth while the tooth is coated as well, shouldn't it? So in a way, the glycerin coating the teeth should result in no net change of minerals from the tooth. When I raised this question with the company they just insisted that the dentist whose work their whole product was based on said the teeth shouldn't be coated with glycerin, and when I articulated my concerns they just stopped returning my emails. So take the whole glycerin is causing tooth decay thing with a grain of salt. It doesn't seem to be a bad product for cleaning the teeth, but I doubt the claims they are making are true. > > Hi Natalia! > > Glycerin is your culprit! > http://www.perfect-prescription.com/faqs.php#4 > Glycerin is VERY sticky (stays on the teeth even after several vigorous > rinses) > . . . we LOVE the glycerin-free, kid-friendly flavors they sell! > http://www.perfect-prescription.com/shop_category.php?c=1 > Both Gianni AND Mike recommend their products . . . > > Best Wishes, Carissa > > >

Guest guest
my child #1 was allergic to glycerine as a small child and had glycerine free allergy shots. glycerine is a preservative. I don't read it as a positive ingredient when looking at the ingredient list.
Guest guest
Thanks Healthseeker. I just went and ordered from Harry's too. It looks like one could just get calcium carbonate and add organic peppermint oil (a little goes a very long way) in organic extra virgin olive to it and make it quite cheaply at home too. His stuff's really interesting. Thank you especially because I'd been wondering where to get calcium carbonate to use instead of baking soda, just because my daughter doesn't like the taste of it. Guest guest
You're welcome, Francine. Glad I could help. However, if considering making your own at home, I would suspect you might need to consider a few of the other listed ingredients: tabashir, magnetic earth with probiotic bacteria, alkalizer ionic minerals, and the marshmallow root. To me, they sound like they would be working synergistically in this alkalizing, remineralizing function... I would look them all up separately and see what functions/qualities are attributable to them. Anyway, I am awaiting my first two bottles now. One for hubby, one for me to carry around, as it sounds like you're supposed to use it multiple times a day - after each time you eat, anyway. Let me know what you think of yours once you've had a chance to test it out. I'll do the same. OK? Have a nice weekend. Healthseeker > > Thanks Healthseeker. I just went and ordered from Harry's too.
