Guest guest
Well, I finally made it! I have been on LDN 3.0 since April 2006 with good results. Very little progression limited to slight changes in my walking and balance difficulties. However, extreme stiffness caused me to have several failed attempts to get myself " comfortable " with a higher dosage. Today I finally arrived at the place where 4.5 feels right. It would be wonderful to stop any progression at all, wouldn't it? Plus, I am feeling a few of those " bonus benefits " ---more energy and a little more strength and slightly better balance. Placebo effect? I don't think so but anyway, I don't care. Now if I could just get over this awful acid reflux. Any help here? I tried the apple cider vinegar and I couldn't tolerate it, so I would love to hear any other natural suggestions. The usual meds give me terrible side effects. I switched my filler early on from Avicel to Lactose so I don't think that is the problem... Thanks for listening ) Joyce
Guest guest
Hi, it's great that you've finally made to get there, yes! :-) Congrats! Due to acid reflux: I am having Crohn's disease, and quite many Crohnies are suffering from acid reflux big time. I've learned to reduce sugar intakes, be careful with too hot spices the days my reflux is worse, and just to avoid medicines, - (I always try to avoid taking any meds if I could), I just use baking soda, have as little as a finger nail size into a glass of water, drink a couple of glasses every day and your reflux would get better quite fast. Avoid eating late at night, sleep with your head a bit higher. Red grilled meat and spices, cheeses and cakes are a few of the food that you have to reduce a bit to get better. Acid reflux is often a sign of a bit unbalanced food intake. Be well! :-) Ingrid From: dollsesq <DollsEsq@...>low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, January 9, 2009 11:17:24 PMSubject: [low dose naltrexone] Finally!! 4.5 feels right!Well, I finally made it! Guest guest
Joyce, I used to suffer from acid reflux, which turned into GERD, and I didn't even know it was happening until one day my throat was raw and one of my vocal cords were paralyzed. It got so bad that I was on my last available GERD medicine with surgery as my next option. Then I started seeing a nateuropath doctor who helped me get off the GERD meds by changing some eating habits (like were mentioned in other posts to you), as well as taking enzymes with my meals and also using a good probiotic. I was 90% better within 6 months. You may want to try the enzymes and probiotics along with the other suggestions folks here are giving you.Good Luck,JanetFrom: dollsesq <DollsEsq@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Finally!! 4.5 feels right!low dose naltrexone Date: Friday, January 9, 2009, 5:17 PMWell, I finally made it!
