Wow , I'm so sorry 's at that place! I would go ahead and

begin looking.

OR can you talk to someone there other than her therapist? Maybe

it's *that* therapist alone and another one there may have some

experience/insight, so is there a director you can call and discuss

this with, get someone else assigned to ?

What was the name of the place again?

God - I just feel horrible about what you're going through - and your

daughter, too! I think it's just as important to let others know about good

places

as well as ones to avoid - please post the name of this facility for the

benefit of others.

suggested asking for a different therapist - have you tried that?

Maybe contact the head of the facility & ask to see credentials for all the

therapists/doctors that are there.

I hate to say, I think I would pull my daughter out if it were her in there.

Have you asked

OC Foundation or any of the doctors on this board what their opinion of what

is happening to your daughter in this place?

,

I would def. get a second opinions . This just doesn't sound right! The

fact they are not doing the ERT or any of the other therapies for OCD and the

fact they can't tell you what they ARE DOING to help it, makes me feel they

are not the " RIGHT " people for this. I would hate for your daughter to feel

alone and not getting the help she really needs. Good luck. Please keep us

posted on how she is doing!

My second post today. My insurance company, Anthem Blue Cross refused

to fill my prescription for 100 LDN capsules that they have filled

without any problems before since April. Why? Some epsilon working

in their drug classification department reclassified Naltrexone as a

narcotic ! If they even bothered to look on Wikipedia they would see

it's the opposite of a narcotic.

I was on the phone for two hours and got nowhere. Nobody has the

authority to do anything about it. The best they could do was offer

to call my doctor at UCSF to get a special exception for me. I tried

to make them understand that this was going to affect thousands of

people that need the drug. I doubt anything will change and I'm

warning anyone who is on LDN and has that insurance company to expect

similar problems.

I called the pharmacy and told them if the approval wasn't received by

tomorrow that I would pay for the pills myself. I'm going on

Wednesday, period.

You'll have fun watching me go crazy talking to these fools on the

telephone. The video is a combination of cuts from the two hour debacle.

Joe,

I unfortunately enjoyed that video!!

This is the state of the medical community at large.

I have had to construct thyroid replacement hormone from three

different costly prescriptions for my Hashimoto's without any help

from the medical community just to feel somewhat better. And my forte

is accounting not medicine.

The medical nightmare I have been through is appalling. They have

refused to produce a drug which replicates normal human thyroid

output. One that has all the hormones and components.

It hurts and its not right. The solution is so simple.

The treatmemt of my condition by the medical community has been

embarrassing.
