My husband is self-employed so we would have to get COBRA or a private insurance plan. For my family of 4 to get COBRA it would cost us approximately $850.00 a month--only slightly less than a plan we would purchase ourselves. With Zach's ear situation there is no way I would give up my job and my insurance. I am grateful for my 3 weeks of vacation a year and my insurance plan, which gives me a little peace of mind knowing that I can provide the best health care available for my children and husband. It simply doesn't seem fair that we all can't receive the same health care despite our financial or work situation. Hopefully some day it will change! Oh no, I didn't get that impression really! I just haven't had much to say or ask LOL. I'm waiting for the OMS ?? people to finish my appeal papers so I can sign, kiss and mail them in haha. Guest guest Posted January 25, 2006 Report Share Posted January 25, 2006 greetings to all I am going to a " specialist " refered by my endo what kind of specialist could he be and now some one from his office called me and said if you are going to see him about fertilty issues your insurance does not cover it or have him coded other than that she adviced me. My quesition for so many reasons ppl become like they we are and then why is it when it comes to fertility or sexual issues insurace do not cover it? So please if I am not asking to much please some assertive person help me here to how I should approch the Doctor thanks any suggestions wellcome.
