This book has been discussed before by this group. I do have to credit

Dr Shippen for even daring to acknowledge that low T levels cause

health problems in men. He also defines low T as something other than

the bottom of that flawed reference range given by the testing lab.

The statement that injections are the worst form of TRT are based on

the old practice of giving a high dose shot once or twice a month. A

weekly injection or a twice a week injection is superior to that old

way of doing things. I know I have no complaints about a weekly shot.

The book is dam good but old the last time I heard about what Dr. Shippen was

doing was shots every 3 days subQ I think he is doing them to him self at a dose

of .31 mls to keep E2 in check. One of the best treatment protocols is at this

site read it for free. TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update at the

bottom of the site.

Great book. Maybe not 100% correct.

Shots used to be given in large doses every 3 to 4 weeks, which produced

roller-coaster

high and low T blood levels, along with high conversion to estradiol. Smaller,

more

frequent doses work better.

ernestnolan is our resident expert here on pellets. I'm sure he'll chime in

before long, or

search " ernestnolan " in message archives. For example:

/message/30278

I had pellets implanted once. My experience was rare and unexpected: they

stopped

working after 7 weeks. I might try them again someday, but I've been getting

good results

self-injecting 120mg/week (plus a little Arimidex).

I recommend at least finding a doc who can do pellets, whether you go with them

or not.

Chances are that a doc who knows pellets is knowledgeable about most of the

other TRT

options. See " Finding a Male Hormone Doctor " in the files section here.
