After about eight years on TRT, I started back on HCG with the hope of producing

sperm in

order to get my wife pregnant. I've been taking 1000 units three times a week

since July, but I

still have no sperm count and my testosterone level is below 400. The doctor

recommends

that I now up my dosage to 2000 units three times a week and that if no sperm is

produced

as a result within six months, but my T level increases, then he would add HMG

and FSH to

my regimen.

A little bit of background: I was 16 when I went to the doctor to get a T shot

to help set off

puberty. It was clear after a few months of not gettting T shots that I couldn't

produce T on

my own. The doctor had me take 1000 units of HCG three times a week. I did that

from the

age of 18 until I was 26. I got a girlfriend pregnant when I was 26, but we

weren't ready to

have kids, so she aborted. Soon after I started taking T shots even though I

remembered my

first doctor saying I would risk the chance of producing sperm by doing so. I

started with T

shots, then did patches, then the cream. I'm 36 now and my wife and I would like

to have

kids. I'm worried about my ability to produce sperm and that taking large doses

of HCG may

hurt me even more down the line.

I've read on this forum that more than 350 units of HCG a week is too much. Are

there any

others out there dealing with the issue of of trying to produce sperm who also

have to take

high doses of HCG? Has it worked?
