Guest guest
To Whom It May Concern I am a hypogonadal male based in UK and have been prescribed both Androgel and Tostran in the past 16 months. I switched to Tostran recently due to the lower amount of gel that needs to be applied - owing to the Tostran gel's higher concentration of testosterone when compared to Androgel. However, it has been a nightmare to dry (20-30mins) compared to Androgel which dries within 5 mins maximum (alcohol base). I went on the advice of someone on a forum website to add aloe vera gel to the Tostran gel in order to get it to dry quicker and this does work but this then defeats the purpose of the products main selling point (less gel required to be applied) unless users can be bothered to wait much longer for the gel to dry. This might be the case if someone has not tried other testosterone gels/creams before but there seems to be many people on forums who don't like the long drying time of Tostran because it becomes very impractable on a long-term basis. Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry myself as a research chemist I appreciate the length of time it takes to get regulatory approval for a product (particularly from the FDA) but in my opinion (as a user of this product) its success will be severely comprimised by the fact it takes very long to dry compared to other gels/creams. I would be very interested to hear if you are currently working on an improved version of this testosterone gel - possibly in early stage clinical trials?
