Guest guest
What is testim in the USA?--- Androgel. Both are weak 1% testosterone formulations, highly overpriced, and androgel has had past problems with strength being less than the paltry 1% that label claims. A compounding pharmacy can mix a stronger t-gel for lots less money. Less skin needed for application. My own prescribed female version of compounded t-gel was twice the strength of androgel. The International Association of Compounding Pharmacists has a referral service on their webpage. Type in your zipcode and it will list any that are near you. http://www.iacprx.org/ Compounding pharmacies can often supply a list of physicians who use their services, so you do not waste time with a doc who pushes Big Pharma's androgel. Guest guest
If you have a thyroid problem the gels may not get through your skin people with Thyriod problems seem to get a thinker skin. Do test doing this low of a dose your levels maybe come lower then when you started. Your brain sees this and stops sending the messages to your testis to make T and you can end up lower most need more the 5 grams. Get in and get tested if your doing a high enough dose and it's getting through your skin you should have felt somethng by now. I've also been taking Armour Thyroid (Generic) 60mg a day since I started the Testim. I can't really say I've noticed much in the three weeks yet...nothing definite anyways..no morning wood except a few times..<shrug> Thanks Co-Moderator " Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Guest guest
/ K. Woolf / Phil, The earliest I can be tested will be in May when I see my PCP. The Endo wants me on the Thyoid med for 3 months before checking all my levels again. I can't get my own testing done without paying for it and I can't afford that financially. I'm at the mercy of my insurance and Doctor's right now. -- / K. Woolf /
Guest guest
I remember a while back there was a thread about the smell of Testim. I think the scent/fragrance it leaves is causing my allergies to react. Since I've been using it I've had a somewhat active nose all the time. I take two different meds for seasonal allergies (Zyrtec and Flonsase) and I'm still not drying up. I think it's the proximity of the smell coming from my arms to my nose constantly. Anyone ever hear of this or similar? I'm going to ask my Dr. if I can switch to injections due to this..also my eyes have been burning somewhat which is another allergy sign. Is it ok to use a rubber glove to put the Testim on? Would that be a problem with the absorption or anything? Thanks!!!
