Guest guest
Believe me that I would want to be the very last person to create any animosity at all in our group or in any other group on the internet but I've begun to notice what I consider a very problematic issue with HRT for men groups. There are many men who come to these forums who are new to TRT/HRT and have many questions and we, to the best of our ability, help them with very troubling issues that men face. I was reading a post yesterday on another forum where a man, new to TRT, had asked a very simple question about what was better, shots or gels. The topic got out of hand and the next thing you knew this poor guy was being told to go to a doc and get GHRH and Sermorelin and some other IGF-1 enhancer and a whole bunch of arimidex, etc. It was pretty crazy in my opinion because this man left much more confused than he already was. I felt sorry for him. For the record, in my opinion, HRT for men consists of the following: Optimize T levels Optimize DHT levels Control E2 levels and maintain a youthful T to E2 ratio And to be able to do all the above with the least side effects at all and ideally no side effects. All returning the man his sex drive and ability to achieve and maintain erections, stregth, muscle mass and to stave off diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Testosterone IS an anti-aging hormone and it's cheap! The ideas that some men are getting would cost thousands of dollars a year and are unproven in the long term. I just think sticking to the basics is best especially with guys who don't understand and likely don't need any of the rest. After reading stuff like I read yesterday it's no wonder some docs don't even want to prescribe TRT when they know that it can lead right down the road to rabid anti-aging philosophies that can be dangerous, expensive, and experimental for the most part. I'm terribly sorry if I've offended anyone with this post but I'm tired of everything except Testosterone being part of TRT/HRT!
