I was getting TRT for four years and had no blood tests at all. It was my family doctor that was doing this since there is no endocronologist in Kelowna. My endo from Vancouver - not from Simon Fraser University- has been more concerned with an undescended testicle. I had an ultrasound and they found nothing. They are going to do more tests to find possible remnants of a testicle or testicles. I used to have a single atrophic -non-functioning- testicle but according to the endo he said I now have no testicles at all. My endo also said that he had a meeting with seven other endocronolists to figure out why someone with such a low T level would react so badly to all the three forms of Testo that I have tried. After the meeting they still didn't know what to do with me, and said that 10% of people with low T levels won't accept TRT. They don't know why these 10% won't accept TRT. I suggested that I take DHEA, and he said that might be a good idea. I asked him how much and he had no idea. He's basically guessing. The next day I went to a naturopathic doctor, and he said that I should have my DHEA level checked by my family doctor here in town. So that's what I'm doing on Tuesday. Trying to solve this problem, is like having a part time job. It all so complicated with so many variables. It's nice to have someone like you who is willing to help. Thanks fellow Canadian.
