Guest guest
Have low level of testosterone, early 50's and the dr started me with 300 mg every 3 weeks. I'm wondering if injections are the best way to go or whether the patch or gel are better. Anyone have some personal experience they would like to share? Thanks. Also, do any natural tonics work like tribulus?
Guest guest
Hi zimbo and welcome. Yes shots are good if you do them right what your Dr. is doing is dam old and putts you on a roller coaster ride up after the shot then for the next 15 days down until your next shot. Go to Dr. 's site he is one of the best low testosterone Dr.'s and has free info on his site go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for success and His HCG update. Doing shots every week is best most men here do them there self. Also read the AACE Guildlines in this they state to do shots every 7 to 10 days read page 11. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf I am betting your Dr. does not test your Estradiol and doing shots this big drives this way up and this kills your sex life giving you ED so bad the pill will not work. Here also read this. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html zimbo <grifty121@...> wrote: Have low level of testosterone, early 50's and the dr started me with 300 mg every 3 weeks. But three weeks is too long. You will get very high T levels in the beginning, much of this will convert to E2 robbing you of the positive benefits of T and giving you nasty side effects, ED, weight gain, trouble losing wait, low libido and even breasts if it gets too high. Then at the end of the three weeks your levels will be very low and you will feel awful from low T. Weekly shots of about 100 mg are preferred. Gels are very expensive and many of us find they stop working over time. Patches are poor delivery systems and many cause rashes and skin problems from the adhesives. Some here like pellets but you can't fine tune them readily like you can shots (they're placed under the skin or several months.

Guest guest
patches and gels never worked for me. This may be the case for you too. grayxx035 <gta24101@...> wrote: >I tried the patches for a while, did not work for me and I finished up with an Alergy to the patches, the adhesive apparenty, back on injections again, trying the new 14 weekly ones now. Guest guest
Patches and gels never worked for me. if you're injecting on a 3 week schedule, I think it's a bad idea. I was doing 400mg (or 2cc) monthly and it turned out to be a bad idea. What happens is this: you introduce large amounts of testosterone into the body at one time. There's an enzyme in the body known as aromatase. It converts testosterone into estradiol or E2 which then competes for testosterone cell receptor sites throughout the body. This can lead to peculiar headaches, vomiting in some cases, and just a general weirdness that you may not want to go through. Now my doctor takes monthly shots and is completely unaffected so it may never effect you. Can't promise but only tell you my experience. You can control this process by taking daily 50mg zinc followed by 2mg copper. I also take indoplex with DIM which is an estrogen metabolizer. (phytopharmica.com) Make a note and if you feel your body is on a roller coaster ride each month then consider going to a weekly injection cycle. I do 100mg (1/2cc) weekly. Soon I will be self injecting. zimbo <grifty121@...> wrote: Have low level of testosterone, early 50's and the dr started me with 300 mg every 3 weeks.
