Guest guest
Hi Brad, I have had three back surgeries and have lived with chronic back and leg pain these past couple years. They wanted to refuse my back as the last surgery was not a complete success. I had no desire to have another 11 hour surgery with a year and a half rehab. I just wanted to be able to deal with my horrible pain at 34 years old. The nuero-surgeon had suggested the spinal cord stimulator so I did my research on it. I finally had the surgery and it has completely taken away all of my leg pain. They did not place the leads high enough in the thoracic region otherwise I could of had relief in my back too. I say it is totally worth it. Read the story on Jerry and what he has suffered with for years & years of his life and how he feels now. It is a great success story. Best of luck to you. -- reason I have been reading the posts. I have degenerative disc diseasd, spinal stenosis, clasp knife syndrone, narrow spinal canal, and a bulging disc. I get alot of pain in my back and legs my docs have told me basically there isnt anything they can do for me. I have lived with back and leg pain all my life, got worse about 5 years ago. They damaged my back when i was born they think!. I was wondering if this is the kinda thing that this device is for? Brad In ohio

Guest guest
I've just thought, my docs have been telling me for years that I have Psychological Prolems, despite clear symptoms, three private diagnoses etc blood levels of Testosterone 10nmol/L, panic attacks, fatigue, its obvious......The symptoms of this condition are well known....from guys with Testicular Cancer, Prostate cancer who undergoe Androgen Ablation therapy, or guys who have Pituitary Prolactinomas.....so the signs of Androgen Deficiency are well known, no matter what the Professors out there milking the situation say....... Certainly if Doctors are required to be able to spot, Meningitis, a relatively rare condition then they ought to be able to spot signs and symptoms of a much more common situation in amost every day experience....., but they havent made enough out of the situation yet Think about it, take away law and Order and what happens, in Lawless societies, people, (usually men), will invariably try to exhert 'their' authority...ABSOLUTE control over others (usually other men, actually no women as well in the form of Rape ) ..............................................Despite tens of thousands of research articles on Testosterone, , I understabd there are 20,000 articles on testosterone, the stuff is out there being sold by Pharmaceutical Companies, Some of it touted by the Professors who then argue caution, we need more money to do research....... very few studies show harmfull effects......Ive just realised why we are not being given treatment... Firstly, the researchers have not milked the situation for all it's worth yet, research grants, publicity......reasearch articles in ever more prestigous journals and at all expenses paid conferences abroad etc etc......I know one Professor whose written 500 reasearch projects and articles....I used to be an electronics engineer, I like to think I worked efficently, each Project would take me at LEAST three months and usually Six months to a year to complete.......500 Research articles is 1 article every two weeks for 20 years...............exactly how much intensive research can this guy actually have done....on each of those Projects....... read some of these research articles, they say the same think over and over and over and over again............ Secondly, It's an Ego based Power Trip for them..........Authority and control over others We can't be given treatment yet because there is still more money and Prestige to be milked from the situation before it can be made official treatment. Interesting theory ? Tell me I'm wrong........

Guest guest
Here's an interesting observation worth sharing. When I was being treated by my first doctor, we were not having any success. I had these ugly symptoms of depression, anxieties, fatigue also. My first doctor said I should go to a shrink. All I needed was the proper dosing of " T " . Now there's one thing I am noticing working with doctors. For some reason, they seem to be limited in the information they can give you. Is this by design, a lack of experience, or the mere fact that they don't always have all of the answers. Maybe they simply just don't know sometimes. For example: Sometimes I might get ill during an injection cycle. Doctors will tell you there's no connection between your illness and your therapy but come to this forum and you'll find other patients either get ill or are not completely symptom free too. I came to this forum to see what grieviances other patients have, just to discover that I am not alone in my inquiry. It leads to an interesting point that while I am happy with my doctor, apparantly either he's limited in the information he can provide or I am not asking the right questions. By coming to this forum, I am also discovering that everyone elses doctor is not giving the patients all of the answers they need either. Therefore, we all share these things in common. All of you guys out there, hang tough, persevere, you're not alone. > > I've just thought, my docs have been telling me for years that I have Psychological Prolems, despite clear symptoms, three private diagnoses etc > blood levels of Testosterone 10nmol/L, panic attacks, fatigue, its obvious......The symptoms of this condition are well known....from guys with Testicular Cancer, Prostate cancer who undergoe Androgen Ablation therapy, or guys who have Pituitary Prolactinomas.....so the signs of Androgen Deficiency are well known, no matter what the Professors out there milking the situation say....... > > Certainly if Doctors are required to be able to spot, Meningitis, a relatively rare condition then they ought to be able to spot signs and symptoms of a much more common situation in amost every day experience....., but they havent made enough out of the situation yet > > Think about it, take away law and Order and what happens, in Lawless societies, people, (usually men), will invariably try to exhert 'their' authority...ABSOLUTE control over others (usually other men, actually no women as well in the form of Rape ) .............................................Despite tens of thousands of research articles on Testosterone, , I understabd there are 20,000 articles on testosterone, the stuff is out there being sold by Pharmaceutical Companies, Some of it touted by the Professors who then argue caution, we need more money to do research....... > > very few studies show harmfull effects......Ive just realised why we are not being given treatment... > > > Secondly, It's an Ego based Power Trip for them..........Authority and control over others > > We can't be given treatment yet because there is still more money and Prestige to be milked from the situation before it can be made official treatment. > > > Interesting theory ? > > Tell me I'm wrong........ > >
Guest guest
I think there is a great deal of politics and money involved too There are too many people out there that want us to be meterosexuals, taking away our manliness. Wayne would be turning in his grave if he knew. Regarding your first point, if we could somehow make a connection between lack of testosterone and global warming, the researchers would be all over it. Guest guest
I'm convinced most doctors are: 1) arrogant 2) ignorant 3) deaf I have experience in the healthcare field as a nurse assistant and training in a registered nursing program. I also have my own experience as a patient and know what some of my family members have gone through. Few doctors have the humility to acknowledge when they don't know something. They want to make money and do what the herd does: prescribe what the pharmaceutical companies are pushing. Honestly those nicely dressed sales reps are telling most of the doctors what to prescribe. Few doctors take the time to read journals and stay up with the latest. Few doctors listen to their patients. Most doctors have conclusions in their heads about their patients before they walk into the exam room. Therefore, patients must do their own research, share their conclusions (as in this forum) and get educated. They must be willing to be their own advocates and look for doctors that know what they are doing. Most people easily adopt " the sick role " (a concept we learned about in nursing school). They don't want to challenge the doctor, they'd rather worship the doctor as if he were an old time " medicine man " with mystical healing powers. The combination of the doctors' haughty self-perception and the lack of knowledge on part of the masses is what has brought us to the way things are today. Well, I'm done preachin' now. , sorry, but I can't tell you you are wrong.
