Guest guest
I don't post very often, but some of you may remember my post of a few years ago about the difficulty I was having getting my Dr. to test my T and E2 levels. I have learned a lot from reading your posts and trying to use the knowledge gained to find a Dr. that wants to work with me on solving my diabetes control (type 1 for 59 of my 63 years)and weight loss issues. Anyhow, after quite a bit of Dr. shopping, I was FINALLY able to find one that agreed to do the testing and prescribed T-gel for me. I was very low on both T and Free-T, and fairly high on E2. I have been on compounded 5% T-gel (with Chrysin) for 2 1/2 months, and I've noticed improvement in my libido, stamina and endurance, but very little in terms of weight loss or HA1C glucose control (now 7.2). My most recent test results are: Description Value Ref Range Testosterone, Serum 692 mg/dl 241-827 Free Testosterone (Direct) 15.5 pg/ml 6.6-18.1 Estradiol 39 pg/ml Adult Male <54 Tests by Labcorp I've also added one Indolplex® with DIM® tablet (from the source/link posted here a couple of months ago) to my daily regime. I will be meeting with my Dr. in a couple of weeks and would like to talk with her about how make better progress towards restoring my nocturnal erections and increasing my desire to exercise. I know the T/E2 ratio is key to weight control; what do you think my ratio should be? (I'm 63 and about 260 pounds right now; B/P and Cholesterol numbers are OK from the most recent lab tests, as are all the lipid tests.) What other tests do you recommend for us to get a really good understanding of where my body's sexual health is and should be? My erectile function is impaired due to venous leakage, from my poor diabetes control over a period of many years, but since I don't have any of the other complications of Type 1, God must be smiling on me. I'd welcome any and all your suggestions and advice. Thanks for your time and consideration. Lee
