I don't post very often, but some of you may remember my post of a few

years ago about the difficulty I was having getting my Dr. to test my

T and E2 levels. I have learned a lot from reading your posts and

trying to use the knowledge gained to find a Dr. that wants to work

with me on solving my diabetes control (type 1 for 59 of my 63

years)and weight loss issues.

Anyhow, after quite a bit of Dr. shopping, I was FINALLY able to find

one that agreed to do the testing and prescribed T-gel for me. I was

very low on both T and Free-T, and fairly high on E2. I have been on

compounded 5% T-gel (with Chrysin) for 2 1/2 months, and I've noticed

improvement in my libido, stamina and endurance, but very little in

terms of weight loss or HA1C glucose control (now 7.2).

My most recent test results are:

Description Value Ref Range

Testosterone, Serum 692 mg/dl 241-827

Free Testosterone (Direct) 15.5 pg/ml 6.6-18.1

Estradiol 39 pg/ml Adult Male <54

Tests by Labcorp

I've also added one Indolplex® with DIM® tablet (from the source/link

posted here a couple of months ago) to my daily regime.

I will be meeting with my Dr. in a couple of weeks and would like to

talk with her about how make better progress towards restoring my

nocturnal erections and increasing my desire to exercise.

I know the T/E2 ratio is key to weight control; what do you think my

ratio should be? (I'm 63 and about 260 pounds right now; B/P and

Cholesterol numbers are OK from the most recent lab tests, as are all

the lipid tests.)

What other tests do you recommend for us to get a really good

understanding of where my body's sexual health is and should be?

My erectile function is impaired due to venous leakage, from my poor

diabetes control over a period of many years, but since I don't have

any of the other complications of Type 1, God must be smiling on me.

I'd welcome any and all your suggestions and advice.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
