WHen my E2 levels climbed the first time I'd get these free floating feelings of dread and anxiety. Arimidex made them disappear in hours. - - - - Just another albino black sheep
Guest guest
Elliot I have this problem from my E2 Estradiol being to high and it goes up the most at night. If I remember your E2 is on the high side you need to get something to get it down. Are you taking Zinc/Copper this helps. http://www.myvitanet.com/zincop100cnt.html I think I told you about Indolplex/DIM you can take one a day after dinner to get your E2 down. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html You can read about it in this link. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm And this link is to a article by Z on TRT and E2. http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/showthread.php?t=134235700 & highlight=primer+hcg http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/showthread.php?t=134235701 & highlight=primer+hcg I had bad panic attacks at night and it was my high E2 when I got it down the panic stopped. All of the new members here need to go to the files and links section and read about low T and learn as much as you can doing this helps you understand what your going through and what to do about it. Guest guest
Hi Elliot, I don't know if anxiety is common with TRT. I think the question is more: is it the Androgel that's causing your anxiety? You mention tapering off Wellbutrin. I suspect the anxiety is more related to the Wellbutrin reduction than to the Androgel. I suggest calling the doc who's prescribing the Wellbutrin. What's the Wellbutrin dose you were originally taking, and what's the dose you're at now? Have you experienced anxiety like this before? In some cases TRT can reduce the need for psych meds, but everyone's different. Do you have recent lab numbers for T, free T & E2? It could be that the Androgel isn't working as well as it should. You'll get through this. Best, Bruce > > I've delt with serious depression while not getting treated for > Hypogonadism. Guest guest
In my case it was hard to tell. I did feel a little bit of a buzz when I started and once again when I started Pregnyl. But prior to going on TRT, I was constantly fatigued and could never get enough sleep. I will take a little anxiety over feeling like the living dead any day. After allowing time for my hormones to stabilize, I no longer feel stimulated. Has the doctor checked your E2 and DHT levels after you have been on Androgel for over 2 weeks. That is very important due to the large effect those 2 hormones have on how you feel. Phil gave you some good advice on E2, he knows all too well what that does to a man. DHT is normally a good thing, however too much can cause anxiety among other things. It is amazing how many doctors ignore the prescribing information on Androgel about the need to test hormone levels after the initial prescription. > > I've delt with serious depression while not getting treated for > Hypogonadism.
