Guest guest
I believe total Estrogens are also important to measure. ARe you taking any estrogen lowering meds? I believe your numbers look decent? What other hormones did you get checked? I know some people on this board use progesterone, I learned from invest1999, that progesterone should only be added if its low, and your DHT and estrogens are high, as its the body's natural way of controlling DHT and Estrogens. > > The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't > easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the > labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Guest guest
Thanks for the feedback. I thought it was ok so I'm glad to hear it also from you. I had the usual bank to start with then my Doctor was doing just Total and free after she put me on HRT. I asked her to continue doing estrogens (And she said ok) I started using a small amount of progesterone *I read a bit from Dr Lee that said this was helpful for all men. One thing that I'm pondering is this. If the Testes create most of the male progesterone and HRT shuts down the testes wouldn't I want to add that? or??? Am I an idiot? My Doctor said she can't recommend Progesterone as there are too many questions about it. She didn't say STOP but she is not a fan. So, I'm wondering if that is good or bad and what others have read and or learned. Thanks! > > > > The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't > > easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the > > labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Guest guest
Oh, and I forget to answer your question. No, I'm not taking anything to dial down the estrogens (other than Progesterone I guess) At least no Amiridex etc. > > > > The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't > > easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the > > labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Guest guest
You Estradiol level is dam good it should be for a man any age 10 to 30 best at 20 for me. Your Total and Free T levels should be in the upper 1/3 of your labs range for a young man. Here read this link it is all in here. I don't buy anything from LEF but find this to be a good read. http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcls-txt/t-prtcl-130.html Phil james186282 <pillow@...> wrote: The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Do you folks suggest any other hormones such as progesterone? Also do any of you men use Progesterone in addition to Testosterone? Guest guest
Dr. feels men don't need progesterone if drivers up your E2 and E's. Guest guest
Hi Phil: You have a very interesting link. They sure put everything in plain english which is a plus. My last test with using 7.5 gm of Androgel is Free Testosterone 8.9 mine *Labs info is 8 low to 30ng/dL High. This lab thinks I'm in range. However the link you gave me said " optimal free testosterone levels should be between 21-26.5 nanogram/dL in aging men. " Crap! I'm not even CLOSE! My doctor told me that she thought injectables would be best but that Androgel would " probably " be ok. When I opted for that she said " It doesn't work with some men. " I guess I'm some men? I've been bumped up to 10 gm but this is the max. I go for new labs in a few days. Other than Estrodiol, Testosterone are there other tests you guys would ask for that might help me craft my future treatment? AND if I beg to go on HCG (or clomid) will that combine with Androgel to bump these sick looking numbers up? I know someone told me this before but what is a good dose sked for injectables? I know that 4 weeks will put me on the insane clown posse roller coaster ride to hell. Is 2 week intervals good? What dose do you use that works for that? Sorry to pester you all with these lame-o questions again. I had hoped I was all squared away but I guess not! BTW - One of my Emailing friends told me Progesterone knocks down Testosterone levels? I can't find any data on that. Is it true? I think I'll do away with that until my next labs to see if it works. > The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't > easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the > labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Guest guest
you can add HCG to the gels your doing a 250IU shot every 3 days will make you feel better and bring up you T levels both Total and Free how much I can't say. I am primary and my levels doubled. Clomid is not a good med to take long term. Go to www.allthingsmail.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update. I showed this to my Dr. and told him I need to try this on yr. ago. He said ok and after being on TRT for over 21 yrs. and not feeling 100% I now feel my best ever on TRT. Guest guest
The allthingsmall like is dead. <sigh> I'll cut and past some of the stuff and bring it into my Doctor. Hopefully she will find it worth while. > > The files section has great info on testosterone vrs age but I can't > > easily understand if my Estradiol level is good or not what with the > > labs coming up with weird " Good " ranges on so many things. Guest guest
If you go to the files section you can read Dr. 's " Dr. Crisler's TRT Recommendations.doc " and his " An Update To The Crisler HCG " . Here is a link to the files section. /files/ I am sorry I did not know his site was down. Phil james186282 <pillow@...> wrote: The allthingsmall like is dead. Guest guest
Nothing to be sorry about Phil - we all made typos, I was just making sure the original poster wasn't trying to get to a bad site. > Re: Estradiol Question (Progesterone) >> >>The allthingsmall like is dead.
