Guest guest
i feel like a dead beat dad or something. It's bad enough i can > play with my 5 and 1 year old sons, but now i can't afford a roof over their > heads either.... Rob, Try not to feel bad. I understand how you are feeling, I think. I am not the bread winner for our home. But I am the homemaker. It has been so hard not to do the things for my family that I have always done. And I feel as though my family has got the short end of the stick on the whole deal. I have tried so hard to look at my glass half full. When I start looking at it half empty then I get all sorts of depressed. I think your boys are going to love you no matter what. Dead beat dad is not going to be in their vocabulary. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. We just have to do the best we can. It look as though you have been given some good suggestions. If you have a church affiliation I would start there. Most communities have some pretty good programs in place also. It's just a matter of finding them. HTH, Katrina in Idaho
Guest guest
Rick, You should talk to your Endo about removing your implants, if it is causing your Haemoglobin to go too high. Also, read the following post: /message/29278 > > Hello everbody, > > I am after some help in how can i rehydrate myself, i have tried > drinking lemonade, and electrolytes, i am drinking around 7-8 litres of > fluid a day, only peeing 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
Hi Rich You do not say what your weight is but 7 L a day sounds far too high unless you are really very obese. As to your excretion ie peeing 2 or 3 times a day on 7 L something is wrong and so I would suggest you seek urgent medical advice from a GP or urologist. Rehydration is a specialist matter. I too am slightly dehydrated and my serum urea is high as a result. However, if I took 7 L of fluid in take i would probably be in the loo all day! Seek urgent GP advice. Good luck _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ any ideas > Hello everbody, > > I am after some help in how can i rehydrate myself, i have tried > drinking lemonade, and electrolytes, i am drinking around 7-8 litres of > fluid a day, only peeing 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
I really think your situation warrants a visit to urgent care or the emergency room ASAP. Seriously. Don't wait for unprofessional advice about this in an online forum. I'm just a student nurse. Go to a doctor ASAP. In the meantime....drink water. JUST WATER. Especially if you are at risk for Deep Vein Thrombosis..... and you know your blood counts...shouldn't you be in regular contact with a doctor these days? Call that doctor. Don't risk your kidneys on this forum. Please. Guest guest
Rick you are talking about pellets right. Dr. has said this happens and that is why he does not like them. I feel your E2 has gone way up and you need to have it checked. If your high try getting some Indolplex/DIM. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html Start with one pill a day and when your morning wood starts to wake you up because it is so hard. You will know you have got your E2 down keep taking the pill at dinner. But if your wood stops this means your E2 went to low so stop the pill until the wood comes back then that day go back on it but cut the pill in half. Keep doing this until you find the right dose. Also add some TMG 750 mgs. to the Indolplex/DIM to keep your Total E down. Anything higher then 170 for me is dangerous, due to the DVT/PE. Cheers
Guest guest
Hi, Implants?? Are you talking about hormone pellets? How many pellets did you get initially and what mg/pellet? What is the name of your doctor? Very interested in how did you convinced him to give you another set of pellets in only 12 weeks? Did you get too few the first time? I have never heard of the symptoms you are talking about being due to excess hormone. Have you been tested for other things? You have to get rid of the volume of water somehow or else you swell up like a balloon. Has your face puffed up and closed your eyes yet? I have gotten my pellets a few weeks early on a couple of occasions. Over the last 13 years receiving hormone pellets, there have not been any adverse effects at all. You can donate some blood to get rid of the excess hemoglobin. Are you just kidding us?? ernestnolan > > Hello everbody, > > I am after some help in how can i rehydrate myself, i have tried > drinking lemonade, and electrolytes, i am drinking around 7-8 litres of > fluid a day, only peeing 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
Hi, WOW. Never heard of dehydration due to hormone pellet therapy. T does change the skin thickness slghtly eliminating small wrinkles and making patients look younger. This is only a slight change in the total weight of the patient. At a dosage of 12.5mg/day I have never experienced any adverse effects. I cannot imagine the dosage/day that must be involved to cause the problems being mentioned. This seems to be poor treatment at least. I never heard of not being able to urinate and swelling up like a balloon. Once again I seem to have different information on this subject than Dr. who seems to have a strong dislike for the hormone pellet form of T therapy. Most of the things he has said about pellets have never been mentioned in other literature that I am aware of. I would like to know the sources of these adverse effects in studies of hormone pellets. I know of no past or current studies on pellets. There is no money available from compounding pharmacies due to a relatively low profit on pellets. The profit is really in the other forms of therapy that do not work as well, IMHO. I have not heard much about studies on the effectiveness of these many other forms of hormone therapy. I know of no law suits regarding doctors treating patients improperly with pellets. Anyone have more information on that subject to tell me about? ernestnolan > Hello everbody, > > I am after some help in how can i rehydrate myself, i have tried > drinking lemonade, and electrolytes, i am drinking around 7-8 litres of > fluid a day, only peeing 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
Hope you're on your way to the doc. Could it be your body is rejecting the implants? Sometimes the body will have an allergic or other such response to something foreign in it. Let us know what the doctor says. Guest guest
Hi, If patients ask for pellets, there is a chance more doctors will offer that form of TRT. Dr. Natrajan is in the same office as Dr. Gambrell and was trained by him I think. Dr. Lovell of Baton Rouge, LA was also trained by Dr. Greenblatt who was a pioneer in hormone therapy since the 50's in a medical school in Augusta. There are a few others still alive around the country but they are dying off. Dr. Gambrell trained a doctor from FL and I was one he practiced on with Dr. Gambrell supervising. ernestnolan > >> Hello everbody, > >> > >> I am after some help in how can i rehydrate myself, i have tried > >> drinking lemonade, and electrolytes, i am drinking around 7-8 > >litres of > >> fluid a day, only peeing 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
Hey all, I have been on testogel, for 2yrs now and have been on 2 packs for the last month, my testosterone is exactly the same as it was back in January testosterone-5.0, shbg-42, calculated free testo- 76, fai-11.9. I asked my endo if I could try reandon 1000, he said no as i am on warferin i would have to stop it for 5 days and that is not a risk he plans to take, but in the same sentence he will allow me to have the implants, which means I still have to stop the waferin. Any ideas what i can do, as I am not on any treatment at the moment & i am very depressed & my relationship is being pushed to it's limits. I am 47xxy. Thanx
Guest guest
Hi , You do seem to have more than your share. New body parts are never as good as the old ones were. I also have some foot problems, but I still go on 5 and 7 miles walks, and still play tennis. I don;t know what rockhounding is, but it sounds like fun. Just do it! All the best, Joan ________________________________ From: carvinmom <fanceepants@...> Joint Replacement Sent: Wed, July 13, 2011 5:52:24 AM Subject: any ideas just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I had surgery in Jan. and had the usual pt which went well. Now the problems are starting... My new right knee actually straightened my leg out. It did fine for awhile but now im having back problems , foot problems and all my muscles are fighting each other. Went to foot doctor and he says since ive straighten my right leg,, my left leg is shorter, good grief i said. So what next, i guess total left knee or they will build up my shoe to match my other leg. I also have a bakers cyst behind the knee which is causing pain when i do any bending. Everyday is a challenge and im hoping someday it will all be patched back together, so i can go rockhounding again.. thanks for listening, guess i needed to vent some...linda
