Re: Insurance coverage for HCG

My health insurance is CIGNA HMO but my prescriptions go through MEDCO. They

have been covering HCG no questions asked. I could be wrong but I think it may

have to do with what your employer has contracted with the prescription company

on what they will cover. Only cost to me is a $15 co-pay.

I am not using it for sperm count, just trying to keep them from completely

shutting down. My doctor also uses HCG also so it wasn't too hard to convince

him. :-)

Go to this site and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG update.

http://www.allthingsmale.com/Publications.html

This is a good study about low dose HCG.

Yes, it's controlled by the employer. I have Medco and I cannot get

hcg covered for any reason, and they said it was specifically because

my employer wouldn't allow it.

I could appeal, but how embarrassing would that be?
