Guys,

I have been on T replacement therapy for about 8 months now. I met a

doctor who, I believe, has a very aggressive approach to T

replacement. He believes I should be at the high end of the scale. I

agree with him.

I am 53 years old. My T levels had been very low for quite a long time

(at least 20 years). My testosterone levels had been running about 220

mg/dL. I had almost zero libido. I got fat and have been lethargic for

some time.

Back in 2002 I had been with a doctor who had me on T patches and

creams. He got me up to around 450 mg/dL. This therapy really did

nothing for me that I could tell and I quit after about 3 months.

Last year, I met a doctor locally who told me he could change my life.

He started an aggressive strategy to get my T levels " like that of an

18 year old " . At times it has been as high as 1200-1400 mg/dL. I

currently run around 900-1000 mg/dL. I inject 1.75 ml of 200 mg/ml

every week to 10 days. I am keeping my estrogens in the correct range.

I also supplement with 900 IU of HCG per week to keep my testes from

atrophying.

The results have been pretty remarkable. I sleep great, libido is

through the roof, energy is high. I have gained 10-15 lbs of muscle. I

train six days a week. I currently weigh 245. My goal is to get down

to about 195 lbs. My total cholesterol is down 40 points.

Triglycerides are in the normal range. However, my HDL is too low, but

I am working on that. My fasting blood sugar is down in the normal

range now. I LOVE my T therapy. I feel great and now have a lot more

optimism.

I have had some comments to me from some members of this board

regarding these high T numbers. Some think its too high. I was

wondering what T levels other guys on the forum maintain and benefits

(or lack of benefits) they experience. I know that some of the members

of this forum have more practical knowledge than many doctors so I

respect their opinions. Thanks. Steve H
