Guest guest
HI, New here. Did a search for lactoferrin and lacalbumin and came up with several product made from whey BUT they also gave you a percentage of sialic acid. Now, here is the glitch. My sialic acid was high--it is a tumor marker used in some cases as perhaps mine with melanoma. So I was " treated " against this in Mexico. So look at the whey protein you are using and see if it has sialic acid in it. Don't know for sure but if sialic acid is a tumor marker then why would one consume anything with any degree of sialic acid in it??? so that is just something to think about or to add to the mix about using whey. I have no idea if a soy isolate would have these things in it b/c \I haven't researched it for this. LDay MD says soy is out because we do not have the enzymes to produce it, not being of oriental extraction myself. However the isolate of it is predigested. As long as I sleep I don't concern myself with protein so much because I have a longstanding hypoglycemia which is mostly reactive, however when my protein level gets too low I simply cannot even close my eyes. Just lie there like a dunce all night, so that is easy for me to judge. When I need more, and Day says that 40 grams is adequate and we Americans get way too much protein in our diets,I just eat some sprouted grain bread without yeast or sugar and take raw almonds and in the vitamix make them into a powder and add a couple of tsp to my food and that seems to take care of it. I am now of the opinion that protein does give the cancer cells a bit of a boost, the wrong kinds can at least. I try to eat things apart like no fruit and vegetables together and nothing that can ferment in my stomach. Things like saurkraut which has its own fermentation process outside the body and can give lots of healthy organisms are OK. Even a guy with abad reflux and stuff cured himself with saurkraut. So foods are healing and can beat all sorts of things, I think it is jus the combination of what and when!
