Guest guest
A lot of good Dr.'s do this to rule out prostate cancer before doing TRT. I came down with this over 21 yrs. ago. They did every test but low T and ended up treating me for Major Depression for 5 yrs. Shit I lost 5 yrs. of my life on them dam drugs walking around in a fog. I never had Depression it was Low T and when I got on TRT I was able to go back to work after 5 yrs. on and off sick leave. One question, specifically, is did the physican perform a digital rectal exam in addition to PSA screening? I have no burning desire for a DRE, but wondered if most physicians do them in cases of low T. --------------------------------- FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
I hear you...I've been under treatment for depression and panic disorder/attacks for just over two years. This summer, after finding info on the web, I asked by doc about low T. He said he usually checks it in a depression work-up, but didn't in my case. After two plus years of this & *(((A(*%^@ stuff...two anti-depressants, Xanax, foggy head, etc....I think I am on the road to recovery. I'm not looking forward to the effect of tapering off the meds, but it will be worth it. I've been on Androgel for about two months now...what a difference it has made. I am now wondering about my E2 levels and prolactin. The doc plans to check prolactin at my next blood work. philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: A lot of good Dr.'s do this to rule out prostate cancer before doing TRT. Guest guest
It is malpractice to prescribe TRT for a man over the age of forty without a DRE. Guest guest
Hey this is probably none of my business but in answer to your question. I was 38 when I was diagnosed and no I didn't have a DRE but I have since had several and it's really no big deal just relax it kinda feels good if you just relax and don't tense all up. __________________________________ Start your day with - Make it your home page! http://www./r/hs
