Guest guest
Barb: Hello & i'm sorry your feeling so bad! This is advice i have been given, cut out the vitamins, you are feeding the yeast! soy milk is good, so are the other herbs along with the caprylic acid you need, try a fiber cleanse to help your body get it out, distilled water ( & lots of it) there are different meds. to take with different ingre. in them you need, but start with this, if you feel to sick reduce the dosage, you also should use a rotation every 4 days, different meds. (this is what i do) you need to trick the yeast because it is very smart, if you keep taking the same drugs every day it knows this & gets resistant to it. i talk with Biamonte, check out his web site about candida. i'll get back later today, i am late but wanted to respond. Guest guest
Okay, this is a good start, in the meantime, here is my next question... WHAT SHOULD I EAT? I am feeling most confused about what I should eat. Every book says something different. Some say high-protein diet, some say no-carbo, others say protein is terrible because of antibiotics, just eat vegetables, but I can't digest vegetables! So, what can I eat? Thank you all for the help you have given me so far. We are about to go to the health store with a list. Finally, I want to know: has anyone here GOTTEN OVER candidiasis and once you started the thing that did it, how long did it take? Or do you personally know anyone who has? --Barb parkcooper@... >From: mogdrmom@... >Reply-candidiasisegroups >candidiasisegroups >Subject: Re: I need help >Date: Sat, 8 Apr 2000 10:29:04 EDT > >Barb: Hello & i'm sorry your feeling so bad! Guest guest
Barb: i had it in my blood stream for yrs. it is now out & we are working on making sure it is completely gone! yes you can get rid of it! i am much better today than i was 2 yrs ago! You can eat meat, lettuce salad, veggies, I drink a carbonated flavored soda water with no sodium, no calories, no sugar. You can use a sweetener called STEVIA. it comes in liquid & packets, i use the liquid, it is VERY sweet, so when you get some try 4-5 drops at a time. i make lemon ade with my carbonated water, stevia & a fresh lemon. you can have Pau-de-arco tea, make it hot or cold with stevia. Soy milk, & i'm sure others will tell you what they use. Good Luck! Mogdrmom
Guest guest
thank you mogdrmom and tallmommycrystal. those meals don't sound so bad. park and i went and bought stuff today. i got Aqua Flora and I already feel better, but Park reminds me I must rotate things to trick the candida. he will write stuff down on the calendar for me and we plan to switch every 4 days like the websites we looked at last night and today said. I also got some Oregano and two other cleansing things... they don't have mint, clove, or tea tree oil in them so i don't have to think about the homeopathy problem. I was also glad to see that people are encouraging newsarahperson. I felt sad for her but we had to get out today to get to the stores around here so i couldn't go to hotmail this morning, just read the boards. Hi newperson, I know that candida has been affecting my mood until now so it's good that you are on here now too. --Barb. >From: mogdrmom@... >Reply-candidiasisegroups >candidiasisegroups >Subject: Re: I need help >Date: Sat, 8 Apr 2000 16:36:55 EDT > >Barb: i had it in my blood stream for yrs. it is now out & we are working >on >making sure it is completely gone! yes you can get rid of it! i am much >better today than i was 2 yrs ago! > You can eat meat, lettuce salad, veggies, I drink a carbonated flavored >soda water with no sodium, no calories, no sugar. Guest guest
Charlene, Try sitting down in a meeting with the teacher, school nurse, principle , and who ever else is involved in Chyannes care. Explain the importance of the directions you expect to be followed. Take it to a higher level if you have to ( school superintendant, or director of the special ed dept.) You are not being over protective, you are doing the best for your daughter. Teri
Guest guest
Charlene, I agree with Robbin on everything she said, because I had the same problem last year when my daughter was first dxed. I have and IEP and 504Plan for my daughter and if theyt don't follow it then it's on. I don't play with her teachers nor do I smile at them, because I don't won't them to think we're friends and don't have to do their job. This year dr ordered Drese have an computer for those days she'll be taking a lot of notes or their will be someone to do her writing for her. Remember you don't work for the school the school works for you. If the dr. ordered things for your daughter then under the 504 plan they got to meet them , because this is federal, so don't let them make you have you take your daughter out of school on wednesdays so they won't have to do their job. I will not make it easy for my daughter teachers not to do ttheir job, even if it means hiring someone else to do the job. Like I said in some e-mail the other day I will go to the state capital if necessary for my daughter's medical needs to be met in our school system. If she flares will those teachers be they to take care of her ? Well I answer yes to that if it's because they didn't do their job to prevent this from happening. The school here in Moss Point Ms, knows not to play those kind of games with me because I'll sue them for their stupidity. So do what you gotta do to have your daughter's needs met ok. Guest guest
, go to your child's school and ask them about their 504 plan. They should have one because it's federal, but I found out about the 504/IEP Plan right here in this group. So I hope someomne remembers. If I'm not mistaken Georgina had looked it up for us. Guest guest
Hello Charlene, I understand the doctor not wanting to make any changes in your daughter's med schedule but .... there really is no need, that I am aware of, for Chychy to HAVE to take her methotrexate at exactly 10:30am. It's a bit more flexible than that. Many parents actually give the MTX at bedtime so there's no worries about having food in their tummy (which might, depending on what's eaten, interfere with absorption?) and so their child can sleep through the minor side effects. I understand where you're coming from. When my son was in the hospital during his first JRA flare (which sounds an awful like the crisis situation that little Skyler is going through right now!) the nurse came in on a Thursday afternoon and brought his first dose. We were told to keep on a regular schedule. So, every Thursday afternoon he had his MTX pills. Made my son feel very sleepy, come Friday mornings ... but it was months before I actually spoke to the rheumatologist about this and asked if we could switch to Fridays so it wouldn't interfere. He said, of course The only reason for doing it on Thursday afternoons was because that was when the nurses at our hospital dispensed meds! You can call the doctor just to be sure about this but it will probably be perfectly acceptable to switch to after school hours or even the evening. You might even ask about switching the day of dosing. If it's more convenient for you at a different time/day of the week, you'll be more likely to comply with the schedule. Since this is often a long-term maintenance drug for JRA treatment, you should try to make it easier to deal with. Guest guest
Georgina Thanks for the advice. I plan on talking to her dr again about changing the day she takes it to saturday. Unfortunately because of the other meds. she takes daily for other conditions she can only take it at 10:30 am or 5:30 pm (dinner time for us), otherwise her meds can counter act eachother. But thanks again I plan on asking about changing the days to a weekend as long as her father will comply with giving it to her on the weekends he has her. Thanks. SCOTT > > Hi , The die-off reaction is a response to a suddenly higher toxin load. Toxin load is reduced by supporting liver function, including liver flushes to ensure actual bile flow is unimpeded, and glutathione precursors along with other antioxidants, which support liver detox function. The liver, then the kidneys are the body's main users of this crucial antioxidant, so I suggest that people load up on the precursors, cold-processed whey powder and selenium. Without the glutathione approach people oxidize pretty quickly; in other words, you can age years in just a couple of months, and those years are not easily got back without direct attention through an anti-aging program. Whatever toxins you can sweat out don't have to be handled by the liver, so saunas are suggested, particularly ozone steam saunas, as the ozone really breaks toxins as well as giving the body more oxygen with which to neutralize toxins. Also running etc, increases sweating of course. To optimise cellular function and counteract mineral loss through sweating you would pay attention to the various electrolyte and bioelectric nutrients, and ensure that each cell operates as efficiently as you can get it to. Those who are intrigued by that last sentence may want to refer to Steve Haltiwanger MD's well-referenced work here; this represents a good portion of what we know of the manipulation/restoration of the electrical properties of our cells through nutrition: http://royalrife.com/haltiwanger.html Lymph drainage is important for toxin movement back into the blood stream, so try running and rebounding (on a mini-tramp), which is 14 times as effective as running, as a lymph mover. Some people also lymph brush, but that of course is not nearly as deep or as thorough as either rebounding or jogging. regards, Duncan Crow
