I just heard the ABC Radio program on KS.

I was dexed at age 45, 2 years ago and long story/short,

I am on 250 mgs. T/every 2 1/2 wks. I

wanted to know groups reaction to things

said about T on ABC.

" T gives a false sense of security "

" T makes you another person "

(aggressive/anger behavior)

" T is a rollercoaster ride "

implied also that it is better without T

efraimf,

Didn't see the report, but I would say I disagree with those

statements. It can be a roller coaster ride if dosing and intervals

are improper. I would say it only makes you a different person at

abuse levels, not at levels designed to treat disease. Rather than a

false sense of security, I think it gives me a more realistic, less

anxious view of the world.

I didn't see the report either but sight unseen, it is part of the DEA

driven media campaign to keep steroids out of the hands of doctors and

patients, and under the jurisdiction of the DEA. This agency is just

itching to add other steroids, including estrogen and progesterone to

their list of controlled substances, hence the twisted reports from

flawed research studies that exaggerate and manufacture risks of

hormone replacement for both sexes.

Putting essential medicines under police control, and removing them

from the auspices of the medical community, was one of the most

serious mistakes of the past century. And the social ills resulting

from this decision continue to multiply.

One reason so many physicians are so clueless about TRT is because

they are too afraid of the DEA to prescribe enough to learn from their

own clinical practice.

I'm surprised you didn't get more responses.

I'd like to hear that podcast, I'll have to look for it.

I don't know much about Dex specifically, but if it's like cyp or eth, I'd

suggest that you'd be better off on 100mg (well, 97mg) every 7 days instead

of such a large dose every 18 days. You probably are on a roller coaster,

with some conversion to E on top of it with high dosing so far apart.

The stuff on that podcast that you quote sounds more like a report on

steroid abuse rather than hormone replacement. Haven't you heard of " roid

rage? " It's real for those who take way too much.

There some truth in what you quote if test is administered steroid abusively

or inappropriately.

Without enough T I had anxiety attacks so I would have said

" Eliminates Anxiety attacks " which doesn't sound so weird.

> " T makes you another person "

I agree in a way. Without Testosterone I felt like a nothing. Taking

HRT made me different! I became A PERSON! At first it was odd but

then I " remembered " that this odd person I was, was just the " me " I

used to be before hypogonadism!

> (aggressive/anger behavior)

I was POed without T. WIth it I became rational. Too much of it

might cause that problem...

> " T is a rollercoaster ride "

If you do monthly injections - FOR SURE!

> implied also that it is better without T

They are zealots or insane.
