Guest guest
It would be interesting to see his response to Clomid in your conversations tommorrow. Does he know any men on it? Has he ever studied research about its effectivness and usage? As you go through options, he needs to keep others in mind for you that might work. You have had a full work-up, right?? Like adrenals, cortisol, thyroid, etc. What I am thinking here is how to further address the issue if E2 is in fact not high or the ration too low. God's blessings to you, Bill > > Hey, > I was on gel 7.5 Androgel, and then went to shots 200mg at first, then > 100mg 2x weeks, then 150mg, and lately 125mg. Guest guest
you don't need him to treat E2 your not the only guy that has a Dr. like this and if this is his only falt say with him the next can be worse. I have tried a lot of different brands of DIM and this one that other guys told me about works thats all I can tell you and it's cost is a lot less then Arimidex. All you need to do is take one tablet at dinner time and if your like the guy I told you about in 4 to 5 days you will start feeling better. As for going to low we can help you with this. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html Phil vaiisking1026 <vaiisking@...> wrote: Hey, > > I was on gel 7.5 Androgel, and then went to shots 200mg at first, then > > 100mg 2x weeks, then 150mg, and lately 125mg. Guest guest
If you do take DIM (not a bad idea), and if you stay with this doctor, if the E2 gets tested again and he comments that it's lower, just tell him you've modified your diet a bit. By the way, ACTH is the hormone that the pituary gland secretes to tell the adrenal glands to make cortisol. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/acth/test.html Your body is in stress mode. I'm not a doctor, but that's how I interpret your results. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
what you just said about how you feel I felt this way for yrs. Not one dam Dr. could tell me why. I had my E2 testis it was dam high and I got it down and everything was fine with the added suprise of getting my sex life back. You will be fine it's just a dam shame it took this long I hate to see any man go through this like I did. Guest guest
I hear you, man. I too just want to get to the bottom of things. Today, I was at my endo. for 2 hours getting a cortisol stim. test and we still don't know what is going on. It seems for me that the pituitary is having major challenges in making ACTH, LH, FSH and T4, not too suprising. Currently, I am just on the Clomid. Anyway, I don't really feel that your issues are E2. Most have a T to E2 ratio of 10 to 1 or better. With your T levels, I doubt that your E2 is 90+ (could be, but I doubt it). I would appreciate your doctor ruling this in OR out, though!!! You need to now go deep in your knowledge of Adrenals, Cortisol, ACTH, etc. This seems to be the major issue for you. And, according to stopthemadness.com it would seem like all side effects that you describe. I think you should switch to the gel and try DIM ONLY AFTER your follow-up cortisol test. You should do this pure so you can know only 1 things has changed. It would be a blessing if you could rule out thyroid issues totally (I think you have), stabilize T, normalize cortisol and then find a new endo and/or test E2 and DIM. I will be praying for you. Blessings, Bill Hey, > > > I was on gel 7.5 Androgel, and then went to shots 200mg at first, then > > > 100mg 2x weeks, then 150mg, and lately 125mg. Guest guest
Each bottle of Androgel contains 75 gms. So one bottle will last ten days. You will need three bottles per month instead of two. Guest guest
Your doctor should have written it fo 6 pumps per day. I would check and see how it was written. Anyhow that is how my doctor wrote it the last time. I just sent it in to Medco mail order and they sent me the correct amount (9 bottles for 3 months). Guest guest
My prayers remain with you! I just spoke to my endo. and it looks as through my cortisol test (ACTH Stim.) and thyroid testing are wonderfully normal. So, it is just focusing on low T (currently 385) at the moment. I have been on the Clomid for 3 weeks, but since my system has been shut down for 5-6 months, it will take time to start pituitary/axis back up...should know in 2-3 weeks more. I have peace of mind knowing the diagnosis and the options for treatment! Guest guest
Yep it's sad but true most Dr.'s don't bother to look at the hole story they just see your in range and that is it. Yet if your low normal in more then on test like the hormones the pituitary puts out you have a problem. I think Dr.'s for got there math and don't remember how to read a bell curve or what 6 sgma. is. I feel that everyone that has labs needs to print out this link and give it to the Dr. http://www.intelligencetest.com/stan-deviation.htm Phil williamb11 <no_reply > wrote: Thanks, Phil. Guest guest
You have a real for a pharmasist. Dispense a 30 day supply of a drug ordered to be used @ 7.5 mg a day is pretty clear. Find a new druggist. Preferrably one who can read in a store that actually has a telephone. The druggist is just being a lazy idiot. Lt. Guest guest
Nah, man, if you take DIM, and it lowers your E2, **TELL YOUR DOCTOR**....unless he's an arrogant idiot, it might sink in to him that taking DIM could actually work, and maybe he'll suggest it to the next patient he sees. Any good Doc is open to learning new treatments, even if presented by the patient. My dermatologist never heard of treating warts with a certain anti-cancer cream (Aldera)...I took in a print out of the Dr Mirkin website describing the off label use, and she said let's try it. Now she's a better doctor for having another weapon in her arsenal. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Homebrewer MSP Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 2:45 PM Subject: Re: Back to gels maybe If you do take DIM (not a bad idea), and if you stay with this doctor, if the E2 gets tested again and he comments that it's lower, just tell him you've modified your diet a bit. By the way, ACTH is the hormone that the pituary gland secretes to tell the adrenal glands to make cortisol. http://www.labtests <http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/acth/test.html> online.org/understanding/analytes/acth/test.html Your body is in stress mode. I'm not a doctor, but that's how I interpret your results. __________________________________________________
