Guest guest
Night sweats are also typical of perimenopause as well. However, my doc did say mine " could " be from the thyroid thing going on right now. I was warned that I may not ever know WHICH is taking care of what symptoms---T3 or the progesterone sublinguals. I have read that high TSH might cause a rise in FSH, and high FSH can be responsible for hot flashes, as high FSH will indicate that your estrogen is low...thus the hot flashes...SO....maybe being on the pill (I 'think' I read you are on them??) will probably help to get your hormones in check. Guest guest
More like the ratio of E2 to T if one has low T and high E2 then yes sweats. My Dr. test new men over 40 yrs. of age for both and if they are low on T and high on E2 he treats the E2 first and most there levels will go back up getting E2 down and not need TRT. Guest guest
To add to retro's theory, I seem to have had low E2 with my low T. I had hot flashes, etc before going on TRT. Now they are mostly gone. The endo said that it can also be a sign of hypothalamic dysfunction. Mark
Guest guest
I went to 100 mg shots weekly. It was not enough for me. I still had ED. I went to 150mg weekly and cured the ED problem. Don't need Cialis now. 150mg has become too much now so I backed it down to 130mg weekly and all is working well. I also take a whole Indoplex w/ Dim and a 750mg TMG daily at dinner time as Dr prescribed. Kissie Re: Just started Testin and I have a question. > > > > >Dan and Jack, > >Thanks for the insight. Guest guest
Steve, It could also be low T levels - have you had your T levels checked recently? I used to get night sweats and hot flashes until I got my T up to higher levels. Mark

I also had them until I got my T-level up, but then they reoccurred several years later -- along with other symptoms (weight loss, swollen lymph nodes, diarrhea, etc). So, I was tested for HIV and found that I was positive. Once I started my therapy, all of the symptoms, including the night sweats stopped. Guest guest
what? I think a menopausal woman will tell you night sweats are hormonal. Gracia If you do a google on " night sweats " " hulda clark " you will find the drhuldaclark.org site (think I got that right) wherein it says that the night sweats are caused by the roundworm parasite Ascaris Lumbricoides. In my experience she is correct. If the infection is of long standing and is severe, you may have to use more of the herbs than is usually recommended. Try the 21 day advanced cancer protocol maybe. Hope this helps. pj ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Hi Brad. I'm not Duncan but I thought I'd throw this out there. I recently discovered the web site diagnose-me.com, it has pages describing various symptoms and conditions, and identifies lists of conditions which may be associated with the symptom, along with the likelihood of the connection. Here the page for night sweats: http://www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C521732.html I'd be interested to hear any opinions about this web site. Guest guest
My T levels and bio T levels are low and I am taking Androgel 4 pumps, every morning. I sweat profusely at night and sometimes, in the morning, after application, my shirt becomes drenched with sweat before going to work, no exageration. I stopped the Androgel to see what would happen and my sweats stopped, but my fatigue returned. My Doctor tells me that the literature doesn't support this and I basically told him I could care less what the literature says, this is reality. Any advice besides getting a new Doctor? Guest guest
You need to get with competent DR who knows how to proper assess hormones level. Right now a few things may be occuring. Testosteorne may cause adrenal fatigue to get worse. It may also cause a rise in e2 which can also affect the thryoid. TRT may also cause thyroid to slow down for the fact that the testosterone is speeding up the metabolism so the thyroid is not needed as much and cause it to slow down. These are the 3 scenerios that are the most common that occur with these symptoms. Guest guest
High e2 also puts strain on thyroid and also adrenals which symptoms go hand in hand. So please have proper evalution of your hormones by a good HRT specailisr. Guest guest
Jim if your taking about the ultra sensitive assay at Quest Labs this is a new test a lot of men have tried this and got back levels that stated <2 this is not possable I did both because I can tell when I am to low or to high so the Ultra Test come back saying I was to low <2 and the Sensitive test #4021 the best one they have as far as I am conserened said I was at 22 pg/ml. My Dr. called Quest Labs a friend he knows there and was told they are having problems with this new test. Plus it was devolped of women with breast cancer that are no drugs to lower or kill there E's so my Dr. feels this is not a good test for men. Guest guest
Also to as pmgammer pointed out that is an invalid reading or your may have low e2 which will cause you to have increased sweating which is common with low e2. Please get the sensitive essay done (4021x) next time to play safe. This test seems to be more representive of e2 symptoms less errors made. > > > > > > My T levels and bio T levels are low and I am taking Androgel 4 pumps, every morning.
