Guest guest
Your levels are on the low side for your age what did your Dr. say about it. It will be hard to get treatment for this with levels like this. Yet you do need to do more testing to find out why your so low. Have your Thyroid checked doing TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 with morning Cortisol. Also go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success in this are other test you need and why. If your Dr. would have checked your LH and FSH we would be able to tell if your testis are working right. What did your Dr. say about the blood flow into your penis this may not be your problem do the tests first. Do you get morning wood if you do then there is nothing wrong with the blood flow to your penis. A way to tell is to glue some stamps around your penis and it the morning if they came apart you had wood. Also before doing this surgery see a different Dr. to be sure you need this. You Estradiol is not the high side and if you got this down it may help your with your libido. You can get some Indolplex/DIM take one tablet at dinner time and see if you doing get some fast wood. Your not on TRT so if you try this keep an eye on your wood if it stops your levels of E2 are going to low. So stop taking the DIM until it comes back then go back on it but cut the tablet in half. You doing drink or eat a lot of SOY do you. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm A good level for E2 with low SHBG is about 10 to 30 best at 20 pg/ml. I cannot get an erection simply from looking at a naked woman with me. She has to really work on my penis for me to get it up. Even then, I never can feel as horny as I did when I was younger. When I was about 12, I could just look at two people kissing on TV, or think about something sexual, and I would have an immediate, solid erection and feel extremely aroused. That cannot happen anymore. Even though all numbers are within the normal ranges, do you guys find them odd because I am young? I should also add that I am probably getting penile artery bypass surgery soon because of an injury between my legs that is preventing bloodflow. Do you guys think this injury is affecting my ability to feel horny? Do you think the hormones are causing problems also? --------------------------------- Finding fabulous fares is fun. Do you guys think this injury is affecting my ability to >feel horny? Do you think the hormones are causing problems also? Is this an early morning test? T levels are highest in the morning. You want to test as early as your lab opens. Your levels are well within normal range. I'd suggest a retest. Make sure the E2 test is a sensitive method and very accurate. (The more common test is for women's levels and totally inaccurate much below 60.) Your problem could well be physical because of the injury. Most of your levels are just slightly below median amounts. If one testicle was damaged that could explain that. At your age one would expect higher levels. But levels vary widely over the day - hence the early morning retest would be a good idea. If E2 is higher than results indicate here, that could be the source of your trouble and the surgery might be unnecessary. Me personally, I'd try to get a good solid hormone profile before undergoing such a surgery. ----- " Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit atrocities. Guest guest
HI I used to have the same problem as you and looking at your prolactin I am guessing you have what I had. There might be a dopamine insufficiency there especially if you are a smoker or a past smoker or are using any prescriptions that would alter dopamine levels. Without dopamine your body cannot relax the blood vessels as there will not be enough noradrenaline and adrenaline in your system to dilate and constrict them. I have been put on a dopamine serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor and man has it made a world of difference you think about it and BAM !!! ACTION BABY !!! I think part of the problem may be your adrenals a good test to do is not to have any stimulants for a week and then load up on soft drinks high in caffeine and see if it isn't easier to get an erection. I have found this to be a good indicator as I noticed before I went on this drug that if I had a few glasses of Coke with dinner it was way easier to perform later at night. Before I found out what the problem was. Hope this helps Manraj > My age: 21. > > My levels and the indicated normal ranges: > > Prolactin: 9.3 2.1-17.7 > Rapid Estradiol (E2): 36 0-54 > Sex hormone binding globulin: 21 7-44 > > Total testosterone: 485 250-1100 > Free testosterone: 90 46-224 > Bioavailable testosterone: 197 110-575 > Sex hormone binding globulin: 4.8 3.7-5.1 > > I really have a hard time getting horny. Guest guest
I just got another blood test done the other day. We'll see what my new levels are. I have been on clomiphene for the last month to get my testosterone up. I am also under the care of a very well known endocrinologist who has publishings all over the place. I do get morning wood sometimes, but it's never as hard as it should be. > > My age: 21. > > > > My levels and the indicated normal ranges: > > > > Prolactin: 9.3 2.1-17.7 > > Rapid Estradiol (E2): 36 0-54 > > Sex hormone binding globulin: 21 7-44 > > > > Total testosterone: 485 250-1100 > > Free testosterone: 90 46-224 > > Bioavailable testosterone: 197 110-575 > > Sex hormone binding globulin: 4.8 3.7-5.1 > > > > I really have a hard time getting horny. Guest guest
Wayne, I was curious what your dosage of Clomid is, as I am on Clomid 75mgs. every other day?? Also, given your symptoms of hypogon. still existing after a month of Clomid, are you post-cycle or were you on HRT shots for an extended period -if so, how long?? It takes some time to wake up the system! I was on gels, patches and shots for about 5-6 months and am now having a hard time waking my system back up with the Clomid... Guest guest
I take 50 mg of Clomiphene three times a week. I'll be honest, I do not know what HRT shots are. I still do not have my new levels. I will post when I get them. Nobody's commented on this and I am very curious. Does anybody think the levels below could be causing my difficulty in getting horny? As I said, I am getting penile revascularization surgery soon because that is also a factor in my ED, but I wonder whether these hormone levels are also causing my ED. > > > > My age: 21. > > > > > > > > My levels and the indicated normal ranges: > > > > > > > > Prolactin: 9.3 2.1-17.7 > > > > Rapid Estradiol (E2): 36 0-54 > > > > Sex hormone binding globulin: 21 7-44 > > > > > > > > Total testosterone: 485 250-1100 > > > > Free testosterone: 90 46-224 > > > > Bioavailable testosterone: 197 110-575 > > > > Sex hormone binding globulin: 4.8 3.7-5.1 > > > > > > > > I really have a hard time getting horny. Guest guest
This link www.allthingsmale.com has one of the newest cutting edge HRT out. Read TRT: A Recipe of Success. This Dr. feels Clomiphene is not a good treatment for low T. He has treated more men this most Dr.'s for low T. Also read this link. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html Yes your Estradiol levels will do this they are to high and this kills your libido gives you ED and can make it very hard to reach an orgasm. Get some Indolplex/DIM and take one tablet at dinner time and see if your libido and morning wood dose not come back in less then a week. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html As for your Penile Revascularization Surgery try this first. And get a second opion this is not a good Idea if you can get it up. Hell why let them cut you and tell you to take Viagra at bedtime to keep moring wood going.
