Guest guest
I am not sure that the Clomid is increasing your depression symptoms - in fact, as your T moves up (if your testis work), your mood will/should quickly improve. HOWEVER, if you do stop the Clomid, do not do so on your own. Ask the doctor for a taper schedule. You will truly be depressed if you stop that cold turkey!! I have had all your symptoms and through Clomid, I have been able to get rid of many and come off all anti-depressants/anti-anxiety. I wish the best for you. Guest guest
Hi Shay and Welcome. I don't feel you feel bad first thing in the morning because your Cortisol levels are above a low upper range they changed this range some yrs. ago. You did not post your units so it's hard to tell. Are you in the UK. I have Hypopituitary Problems and my Testosterone, Cortisol, Thyroid, DHEA and Aldosterone levels are all low. So I supplement them all. 's is a good book but his supplements did nothing for me and I did them 8 months. It's hard to tell but your LH being this low with your Estradiol good tells me you have a Pituitary Problem and should get an MRI on it to rule out a tumor. I take a good 10 mgs of hydrocortisone " Cortef " to get going in the mornings because my Cortisol levels are so low when I wake. Your 10:30 pm cortisol test was on the low side it would be a good idea if you did a Saliva Test on this that checks 4 x's in a day. Here is a lab I used. LAB WORK from Canary Club for special prices. The saliva test is for a full spectrum: thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4), adrenals (cortisol and DHEA), estrogen, progesterone, testosterone. You can choose from two lab facilities–Diagnos Tech (saliva test for $144.50) or ZRT (saliva plus blood spot test for $199). thecanaryclub.org/ Yes get off the clomid if it is doing this to you a lot of guys have had this happen. I don't remember what was causing this but it was something to do with Estrogen. And you can't check Estradiol or Estrogens until your off Clomid some 4 weeks. And you would do best to come off it slow. I would not start on Testosterone meds untill you find out why your low be it Secondary a pituitary problem or low Adrenals and Thyroid most times if you fix what is causing this your testosterone levels will come back up if your not Secodary. Here is a list of labs you need this is taken from Dr. 's site at www.allthingsmale.com in TRT: A Recipe for Success. • Total Testosterone • Bioavailable Testosterone (AKA " Free and Loosely Bound " ) • Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is unavailable) • DHT • Estradiol (specify the Extraction Method, or " sensitive " assay for males) • LH • FSH • Prolactin • Cortisol • Thyroid Panel • CBC • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel • Lipid Profile • PSA (if over 40) Here are some links to FAQ's on Adrenals and Hypopituitary I have this due to a bad head injury. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/faq/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/hypopituitary-faq/ If you need more info just ask. Depression/Anxiety Loss of libido Erection problems / Loss of sensation Back Pain (mostly low, but sometimes mid) Ringing in ears Belly fat Sleep problems Etc. Here are the results of my labs: Low: Luteinizing Hormone: 0.2 (bottom of the range according to Dr) Total Testosterone: 4.8 (2.5 to 11.5) Free Testosterone: 14.25 (9.00 to 47.00) Cortisol 10:30pm: 0.2 (0.4 to 1.0) High: Cortisol 7:30am: 12.3 (3.7 to 9.5) DHEAS: 32.7 (2 to 23) Normal: Estadiol: 0.8 (0.5 to 2.2) Basically, I feel the worst in the morning and usually wake up early, anxious due to the high cortisol. But I am completely confused. I have searched everywhere as to what exactly this means, and which symptom is the cause of the rest. Which hormone should I focus on fixing first? Currently, I have been on Dr. 's Adrenal Fatigue program, taking all of his vitamins, along with cortisol controlling herbs such as ashwagandha, relora, ginseng, and licorice. I am also seeing a hormone Dr from BodyLogicMD in Phoenix. He started me on 25mg Clomid 5 times a week, which I am about to stop due to overwhelming crying and depression that it is causing me. I was put on zoloft, then later effexor, to treat stress years ago, which I now realize was a huge mistake. The sexual problems are directly linked to have taken them, meaning apparent side effects the day after starting that have not gone away, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of these hormone problems were linked.
