Guest guest
Reading this makes me want to scream! I just KNEW there was something really not right about the way I was feeling when I was getting the progesterone shots. I was in my first trimester and no morning sickness is not suppose to be a walk in the park, but imagine that on top of feeling like crap from the progesterone. (The shots were to help ensure I wouldn't lose the baby and I didn't.) I was low, and am actually going to be testing my levels this month. But am sensing already 2 months into clean living that my system may be improving. Goes to figure it all could be messed up. Kari Re: libido This happened to me also with natural progesterone. Guest guest
Hey Dan, I have the same issue. It really get me down sometime because a guy is supposed to think about sex or want sex most of the time right. Well, it used to be that way but not now. Actually, my wife is the one who more often than not is the one to try to get something started. I know that sex is 90% mental and you really need to be in the mood. Wouldn't it be grate if there was a " horny " pill too. My " T " level is great, morning wood every morning but the desire is not like the old days. I'm 44 and I really miss the way I used to feel. Guest guest
You just described me. I did a little search in the archives and found a report referenced in a post by betatine. I found the report on the internet and downloaded it to the file section. You should get a post for it. In the report, it set levels of T and sexual response as follows: nocturnal erections 400 ng/dl T increased sexual intercourse 500 ng/dl T Increased desire (libido) 600 ng/dl T I am wondering if maintaining higher levels would give us the libido we desire. I am sure it would require E2 management as well. If we keep our T above 600, for a 7 day injection, that would be ~ 90 to 100 mg for me. Guest guest
for me i want to decrease my libido i dont want to have sexual intercourse or thyimnk about women,it gets in the way and casues too many problems,if i could increase testosterone to enough to help me conentrate and be more able in other ways then i would go for it,but i think that any increase in t will increase my sexual side. i am still baiscally a virgin in the snese of at 40 never had sexual intercourse sucessfully if i increased T but also increased estradiol would that make a me less interested in women?? regards paul Re: Libido Hey Dan, I have the same issue. Guest guest
I'd say in my case, libido is pretty much absent more often not. But then I take so damn many other pills, its not surprising. Some of the BP meds can affect it as well as the meds I took for type 2 diabetes. And just about any anti-anxiety pill will do a number on it. My own history on those was very short-lived, thankfully, when it was discovered to be due to other issues (damn shrinks.) I was on Proscar for a while for the prostate, and as you may know, anyone on any type of finesteride may as well either join a monastery or become the head eunich as far as libido goes. I was married and divorced about 30 yrs ago and have stayed single ever since. Probably just as well, lol. Actually the one time my libido went sky high was when I first started on Androgel/TRT. For a while, the libido was making demands on my body that I'm not sure I could have satisfied in my teens, never mind in my late '50s. As long as I can have a quick-pace energy, I'm happy. Guest guest
I need some help with my libido. Brief history: - 39-year-old male, 175 pounds. - Primary hypogonadism due to one undescended testicle. T levels were around 300 for most of my adult life. - Began injecting T cyp summer 2006. 32 mg on Mondays and 44 mg on Thursdays, IM into the thigh. - Taking 1/4 mg Arimidex on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. - Injecting 200 IU HCG on Wednesdays and Sundays. - Hypothyroid with various antibodies. I have this under control and nearly optimized using Armour thyroid. - Adrenal fatigue. I am treating this successfully with 27.5 mg of hydrocortisone tablets per day. - I take 50 mg of DHEA per day. - I eat 1-2 teaspoons of Maca per day, but I am not consistent about it. Labs: - Total T is consistently in the range of 800-950 - Free T is usually just above the normal range - E2 17 (ref 0-53 pg/mL). This is not the sensitive test. - TSH 0.056 (ref 0.350 - 5.500 uIU/mL) - Free T3 4.3 (ref 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL) - Free T4 1.15 (ref 0.61 - 1.76 ng/dL) - I have never had my SHBG measured. At various times in the past year, I have had a great libido, so I know what it feels like. My main problem right now is interest - it's like I just ate a huge buffet and my wife is offering me a tender, delicious steak, but I'm just not very hungry. I just don't think about sex very much. And incidentally, even though I've had these great T levels for 9 months, I notice absolutely no changes to my muscle and fat composition, which seems odd to me. Is it true that things like cialis and viagra only help with performance, not with desire? I would appreciate any help that you guys could offer. Thanks, Eugene
Guest guest
Does anyone have any idea why I have noticed absolutely no changes to my muscle and fat composition, even thought I've raised my T from about 300 (for most of my life) to about 900 (for the past nine months)? I don't work out enough to speak of, but still, you'd think there would be some changes. In fact, I would say that I have the least amount of muscle in my whole life right now. Guest guest
Gotta workout to stimulate muscle growth and burn fat. Why should there be changes in muscle if no effort is made. Muscles grow in response to the " damage " caused by vigorous use. --- eugenekeddy <eugenekeddy@...> wrote: > Does anyone have any idea why I have noticed absolutely no changes to > my muscle and fat composition, even thought I've raised my T from > about 300 (for most of my life) to about 900 (for the past nine > months)?
