Hi Bill yes a lot of guys did Clomid and to keep there E2 down did

Arimidex try a 1/4 of a one mg. pill every 2 or 3 days. If you get

soom good wood your E2 came down. If you lose wood you went to low on

E2 so stop taking it until the wood comes back then that day go back on

it but do less like take it every 4 days.

Bill,

I would be cautious (very experimental) with using DIM to control E2

and Total E problems if you are having estrogen-induced libido

problems. I tried probably every type of DIM there was and at most my

E2 levels (even in taking double and triple doses) was lowered only a

point or two... but meanwhile my TOTAL estrogens rose several points

and my T levels went down (slightly). After getting a considerable

amount of information from the company that makes the " preferred "

brand, I was actually able to eventually talk to Dr. Zeligs at his

company. I explained about the use of DIM in the TRT community and

asked why there had never been a simple test done to show that DIM

actually does reduce E2 levels or Total E levels. There was a bunch of

technical rambling, but what it came down to was that DIM isn't

designed - according to him - to reduce E2 levels in the blood, but to

assist in the metabolization of E2 in the liver so that the resulting

E2 metabolites were much less of a potent carcinogenic than they

normally would be. In other words, it is a cancer protectant compound,

not an aromatase inhibitor or E2 inhibitor. To confirm that position,

check Zelig's own web site out, specifically the page that shows the

various studies done on his " bioavailable " product.

http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm (see " published abstracts " )

Many (some?) in the TRT community want to believe otherwise, but I

think that positive results obtained over a short term in use of DIM

was probably more likely due simply to the good old " placebo effect " .

http://skepdic.com/placebo.html

http://pubs.acs.org/hotartcl/mdd/99/aug/mysterious.html

http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/placebo.html

Also if your T levels are okay, it could be that your E2 and Total E

levels are way too high. (I am assuming that they definitely are not

too low as that can also cause libido problems). If that is the case,

you may need more of an AI (like Arimidex) rather than less. I believe

that in Phil's own case that he take 1/2 of a 1mg tablet of Arimidex

daily... and at times raises that to 1 mg tablet daily (which is what

several bodybuilders that I know who are taking very large amounts of

Test or other anabolic steroids are also taking... 1 mg a day is a lot!).

Anyway, that was the deal in my case. My T levels were around 600 (220

- 1000 range) but E2 was still borderline high (mid 50s - range 0 -60)

and Total Es were in high 200s (range is " less than 200 " ). Libido was

there, but was pretty poor. At the time I was taking 1/4 Arimidex

tablet EOD. That was changed to 1/2 tablet every third day. My next

sets of tests showed Total T around mid 600s, Free T was actually at

105% (can't recall exact numbers), but Total Es were down to just

under 120 and E2 down to 20. Oh yeah... I also stopped taking DIM

during that changeover period.

In addition, I found that DIM seemed to lessen the sensation felt

during sex at any time when I was on it. Likewise with gingko biloba -

lessened sensation.

Hi Leroy,

Did you ever try Indolplex/DIM I used all kinds of DIM like you did until I

heard about Indolplex/DIM.

http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html

Now this brand works and dam good you don't want to take more then one tablet

or you will go down so fast your E2 and Total E's will be to low. No Placebo

about it I and others have labs going on for yrs. to prove it. Yes there is a

lot of junk out there and a lot of times when I tell someone about Indolplex/DIM

they get a chep brand and post that it does not work. I then find out they had

a different brand and they go and get what I told them and in less then 10 days

there E2 is down and there libido is up with dam good morning wood.

The Indoplex/Dim seems to work for me, but Arimidex does as well.

I pay about twenty one bux a month for the I/D, one pill a day.

Arimidex, I pay two bux a pill, one quarter pill every other day, EOD.

Which figures, six bux a month.

As you can see, the I/D is fifteen bux a month more, not a lot.

But is there a health benefit to using DIM over Arimidex?

I can't say what you will find if Canada but ordering off the web is to me the

best way to get supplements for the best price. I like this site for

supplements. iherb.com sends me an Email saying they shipped it with in days

and gives me a tracking number so I can see where it is.

http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0

Here is a copy of a file I made about DIM. But I must tell you there are brands

out there that don't work well most of it gets killed in your stomach this is

why I tell people to use Indolplex/DIM.

==================================================

ALL ABOUT DIM.

Sure here is a few links that are all about it. But there are a lot of Co.'s

out there selling DIM that don't work well. Indolplex/DIM is the best it dose

not get killed in your stomach when you take it.

Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a stable indole found in cruciferous vegetables which

promotes a beneficial estrogen metabolism in both women and men.

http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm

in this link it's full of links about it.

http://qualitycounts.com/fpdim.html

http://www.jbc.org/content/278/23/21136.full

If you have DIM in caps it's not Indolplex so to take this and to get it to work

open the cap pore the DIM into a spoon add some Olive oil and take it this helps

to keep it from getting killed in your stomach.

The following is some links to where you can buy Indolplex/DIM.

How to take Indolplex/DIM take one tablet 120 mgs at dinner time it can take 2

weeks to 2 months to get your Estradiol levels down it’s all about how high

you are in your levels. What you need to do is get this down to about 20 pg/ml.

When you get this low your night time and morning wood will come back so strong

it will wake you up this means most of the time your at your best levels or what

I call the sweet spot. Keep taking the DIM but if your wood stops your going

down to low so just stop taking it. The day your wood comes back go back on

the DIM but cut the tablet in half. If your Testosterone was tested and low but

your not on TRT get it tested again you might find your levels came up some 200

to 300 points.
