Guest guest
Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone had ever tried applying Testosterone (or DHT) gel to their scrotum/penis as I have read application to the scrotum is up to 40 times more potent than elsewhere in the body - as mentioned in this study posted on you tube (5 parts)- link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=961NuUlC_RI & feature=related This effect if apparently due to the increased androgen receptors in this area. However, the manufacturers all say not to apply TRT gel/cream to this area but does anyone know why not to apply to this area?? I would assume it is to prevent DHT levels being too high and therefore affecting the prostate and hence possible prostate cancer issues and/or possible priapism - but thats just my guess. Also when doing google search on Testosterone and more so DHT cream + application to phallus/scrotum numerous studies appear supporting this use to increase penis size - noteably for prepubescent males. Link to just one of these studies: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1793798 There are also similar studies supporting phallus growth (but to much lesser extent) with use of DHT cream in adults over period of few months. Whether any studies have been done on hypogonadyl men in particular I'm not sure. I would be interested in hearing anyone else's view on this - in particular the safety of TRT gel application to scrotum area? and whether or not anyone knows of any evidence supporting the fact that androgen receptor levels are higher in hypogonadyl men compared to non-hypogonadyl adult? men as I notice on few other forum's many guys have claimed to have done this but the benefits/risks remain a bit of a mystery.
