debilitating, but the kind of ache that gets your attention when your

not busy or focused on other things. Wakes me up in the night for a

couple hours. Self exame reveals no nodules. My 'boys " feel perfectly

normal on examination. HOWEVER, the cord on one side is balloned and

very sensitive to touch. I am suspicious of either infection or

something else and I'm seeking a urologist. Anybody else experience

this?

Hey Bobby,

Sounds like you have epiditimitis (infection of the epiditimis). If the cord

running along the side of your testicle is rounded (or full) and is painfull to

the touch you need an antibiotic.

This typically is not a cause for low T unless it has gone on for an extended

period.

Thanks for your reply Dan. Your explaination reaffirms my

suspisions. I researched the possible causes for testicular pain and

epiditimitis was the closest match with symptoms and self exam

findings. I'll get it checked out for sure.

I see you are in Arkansas? I'm not far way. Tyler Texas. Ive landed

at Petit state park, and Mena, when I used to fly. Beautiful

State. Have backpacked the Caney Creek Wilderness SE of Mena a dozen

times.

Dan, This is very helpful info. Thanks again. I have already read

medical reference of disorders in the cord that can induce

hypogondal issues, so it wouldn't surprise me if epiditymitis could

cause it too. Due to the holidays, I have not been able to schedule

an appointment with a Uro, but monday morning I'll get R done.

On a side note, I have always wanted to visit Gaston's White River

resort in your end of the state. I understand it is very nice, and

they have an airstrip at the resort. A pilot's paradise!

, I see you live in the DFW area. I am only 100 miles from you.

So I have to ask. Have you found a local doctor that you are happy

with that is willing to follow a decent TRT program with E2

management? I am struggling to find a physician in Tyler that has as

much knowledge as this group. Even the body biulding community knows

that if ya do testosterone, you better darn sure take an aramotase

inhibitor or you will most likely get gyno. So why is it so hard to

find a doctor with this knowledge?

I hate to generalize but the truth of the matter is there is not enough of us

that warrant doctors boning up on the issue. They therefore rely on out of date

material or drug reps for the information. It hs been my experience that it has

been more productive to educate your self and find a doctor that would be

willing to work with you. Once they see your not just some uneducated doofus off

the street and you have information that is valid, they are more comfortable

working with you. Both my Uro and my GP fit this category. Once they knew I

understood the biochemistry behind the issues and brought them documents from

reputable groups in the medical area, they have given me a lot of latitued. But

it goes without saying you can not abuse that either. We don't need T levels in

the 1500's for example.

take the whole round of antibiotic and monitor yourself for any swelling.

Because of ego, most men don't talk to each other on these matters. Second,

women have pretty much cornered the market when discussing hormonal issues and

men simply have not gotten a great deal of attention. Additionally, a lot of the

information you'll get here..... it's not new but it's not that widespread

either. I have discovered a lot of doctors ill equipped to address hypogonadism.

I even found some endo's that I was very dissatisfied with too.

My current doctor is in his mid 40's, like me, and a patient of primary

hypogonadism, like me. I suppose the main goal at first is relief of those

symptoms, then restoration of T levels. My doctor and I haven't discussed E2

much yet although I take the Indoplex and zinc and copper. Without involving the

complexities of taking arimidex, I'm doing about all I can do and it's working.

Now you can make a road trip and use my guy but he is very conservative and

doesn't move one direction or the other very quickly. Better to gather your info

here and share it with a doctor local that you can work with. Many have had

success working with Dr. at allthingsmale.com although I haven't used him.

I have followed Dr. 's advice from his recipie of success but I've never

consulted him personally.

I agree with Dan. Once I educated myself in these matters and brought forth

credible materials, my doctor gave me a lot of slack.
