Unlikely ADC disappears because of health care policies in the USA imo.  It is

kinda illegal now so I can't see this company negatively impacted.  As a matter

of fact I couls envision companies like ADC doing even better!!!

Thanks Mike.

I feel the same way.

I'm going to try cutting back and re-introducing DIM, just to see, but I'm not

banking on it.

My concern is that she said she would not prescribe Arimidex. I'm currently

getting it from ADC. ADC is great, but I'm afraid that source can dry up with

the stroke of a pen - especially now with all the healthcare debate.

Zinc/Coppper. Thought about it, but I have adrenal issues too.

No, but I heard it from the horses mouth about a year ago. You can visit his

webpage, milleniumhealth, and peruse it for info on it. You could also

email Dr. for info on this as he has also told this to me. If i recall

correctly, you take 60 mg of Zinc twice per day with 2 mg of Copper also

twice per day.

Hah, Mike I missed this before I asked for more info. I found a post where

Dr talks about it:

http://anabolicminds.com/forum/male-anti-aging/136349-secretropin-trial.html

" Dr. Gordon has successfully used 160mg zinc citrate, in divided doses, to

control estrogen during appropriate TRT.

Just take 2mg of copper per 50mg of zinc at the same time. This combats the

competitive inhibition of otherwise overwhelming +2 charge of the zinc with

respect to copper metabolism. "

Thanks for letting me know where you heard this, though. I just haven't

heard that much about zinc and lowering estradiol, so that's why I asked.

Yes it was Dr. Shippen that talked about this in his book " The Testosterone

Syndrome " he says to start on 50mgs/2mgs of copper 2x's/day for the first month

or two then just do 50/2.

Don't Email Dr. you will not hear back from him about this just do a search

at his forum.

Good find I don't agree with Dr. about doing both zinc and copper at the

same time both Hard aka Matrix and I had very low copper levels doing both at

the same time.  When I switched to ZMA at bedtime and 2 mgs of Copper at lunch

my levels came up good.  Now I also get Zinc and Copper in my Multi-Vit. 20 mgs

of Zinc and 2 mgs of Copper.

http://bestvitamins.com/BestVitamins/prime_nutrients.htm

I have a link to a study saying you sould not take them both at the same time.

But I can't find it.

Well here it is in the link Nigel gave.

Now I am not saying Dr. is wrong all I am saying is not doing both at the

same time worked better for me and Hard.

No do this with Arimidex men all over the world are very low on Zinc. We just

don't get it in the food or meat we eat.

I notice less need for Arimidex with zinc supplements, but I still need to

keep things under control with Arimidex.

Phil,

I guess it probably wouldn't matter when you took the copper. They are just

concerned that Zinc depletes copper so you need to replenish it.

All minerals compete for absorption. There's some antagonism going on when

you take copper and zinc together. For best absorption you'd avoid taking

all minerals together and this is why multivitamins/multiminerals are

basically pointless.

In addition, zinc likes to tweak bowel absorption of copper and downregulate

it. That's what I think Dr was referring to when he said:

" This combats the competitive inhibition of otherwise overwhelming +2 charge

of the zinc with respect to copper metabolism. "

Other than lowering absorption of copper, zinc doesn't really lower copper

levels already in the body. Therefore, ones becoming copper deficient from a

little zinc could possibly already have a leaning towards low copper and the

zinc could then reduce copper absorption enough to induce a full blown

deficiency.

Possibly diet can be to blame. Liver is heavily loaded with copper and who

eats that these days, or mushrooms?
