Also I thought I saw a study that said 0.5 mg was as effective as 1.0 mg in reducing E2. I have started Arimidex but only doing 0.25 every 7 days. I keep my E2 between 20 to 25 and my Total E is down dam good on this. I also take Zinc/Copper this is good for the testis and we don't get enough of it in are diet eating meat that is corn fed. http://www.myvitanet.com/zincop100cnt.html Here is how I feel when my E2 is going up I get a rash in the same spots, feel hot and look red on the upper part of my body, brain fog and hard and sore nipples. If I let this go with out taking something I start to feel panic and have panic attacks in the middle of he nigh. My Dr. feels high E2 does not cause panic but will set it off if you have the problem. When I am going to low I lose morning wood and if I let it go to long I feel no libido and can't get it up on a pill. Also feel out of it and have bad brain fog. One needs to get in touch with there body so they can tell if they are going to high or to low. I have yet to find a dose that works taking the same amount everyday. I now do my shots every 3 days and this helps to keep my E2 down. When I was doing shots every week I had to take 1mg of Arimidex everyday to keep E2 in check. All in all, it's been a horrible 3 years as I am sure all the rest of you can sympathize with! Don't get a pituitary tumor! I'll check out the new site. Thank god for this site, when I first pleaded with my GP to test my T level, It was found to be low and I was sent to a urologist who gave me Androgel, told me to lose weight and come back in 3 months. I had to switch to Arimidex because I could not take more then one tablet of Indolplex/DIM and I could not mix them broke out in a bad rash. Take one Tablet at dinner time I can't speak for other brands tried most of them and found them to be junk. I thought it was giving me headaches but I doubt it now as I haven't had a headache in about 3 weeks. AI I switched to Aromasin I am doing 12.5 mgs every 3 to 5 days this is a half a pill and I need a pill cutter to cut this in half it's not easy. I feel much better on this then I did on Arimidex. Unless my estradiol is really high I find .25 mg too much at once and it tends to lower my estradiol too much initially. Guest guest Posted February 19, 2011 Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 Stick with the arimidex and forgo the DIM. If it didn't work for you the first time around, it won't work for you now. You could try taking 60 mg of zinc twice a day with 2 mg of copper at each dosing. Dr. Mark Gordon has some solid research that substantiates that zinc does lower estrogen in men at those doses. I've got adrenal issues and zinc screws with my cortisol levels, so I can't do that protocol. Otherwise, just stay on the arimidex. At the dose you are taking, it is completely harmless. All of the side effects reported come from women who take large doses to treat breast cancer. Just like aspirin, taking large doses can really mess up your body but small doses actually prevent heart attacks and strokes. I'm going to try cutting back and re-introducing DIM, just to see, but I'm not banking on it. My concern is that she said she would not prescribe Arimidex. I'm currently getting it from ADC. ADC is great, but I'm afraid that source can dry up with the stroke of a pen - especially now with all the healthcare debate. Zinc/Coppper.
