Guest guest
Hi and welcome, 1. You should try just Arimidex and see if you can get your estradiol down this can bring up your T levels both total and Free T. Here is a study. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 And this one. http://www.medibolics.com/ArimidexBoostsTestosterone.htm Start with a dose of .25mgs every 3 days you will have to cut the 1mg. pills I use a pill cutter to cut them in half the a single edge razor blade to cut the halfs into 1/4's. 2. Yes any testosterone you add to your body you brain will see this and stop sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis. You can keep your testis working if your on Androgel by doing HCG shots 250 IU's every 3 days. 3. Yes this can happen don't feel it's the TRT that does this but if your low on T because your testis are not working right in time they can keep getting bad. Most get some sperm frozen as a back up. 4. I go by what LEF says 10 to 30 best at 20pg/ml but some men do good up in the 30's. If you have this tested get a test for men one like this. http://www.labcorp.com/datasets/labcorp/html/chapter/mono/sr012000.htm 5. Yes go to this link and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG update a lot of us follow this in it are tests you need and why. http://www.allthingsmale.com/Publications.html Are you on TRT now what are you doing. I don't like Endo's but you sound like yours is good. Phil fkw1122 <fkw1122@...> wrote: Hi, I was diagnosed with low testosterone about 7 years ago. I was put on Androderm patches which played havoc with my skin. I switched to Androgel and it raised my T to the low normal range. I was on it for about 11 months when I tested 0 sperm when I had previously over a hundred million the year before. I saw a different Dr at the time and he said " Oh, it's the testosterone! " He checked for any signs of testicular atrophy and said it was minimal if at all and then had me stop using Androgel. My sperm came back 3 months later. Last year I saw a different Endocrinologist. She tested my testosterone AND my estradiol levels. The Testosterone was low (I don't have the number in from of me but I think in the 200 range?). Estradiol was elevated/high in the 60s as I recall. The blood work results only showed result ranges for females. Now I am going to see her again next month and I am thinking of going on Androgel again. My questions are: 1) Should I also talk to her about Arimidex and if so at what dosage? Could that be enough without needed Androgel? 2) If on the Androgel, does your testicles atrophy? Is it important? 3) Can you become permanently sterile? I'm not sure if I care but it's better to know. 4) What is the normal range of Estradiol in men? 5) Is there any other hormonal tests I should have other than T & E? Thanks, hope this wasn't toooo long for you. 2) --------------------------------- Need a quick answer? Get one in minutes from people who know. Ask your question on Answers. Guest guest
Hi Phil, Thanks for your help. I'm not currently on anything. She tried me on a progesterone cream initially, that seemed to help the 1st three months, but after six months the numbers back slid. I've held off the last year or so on going on T due to the fertility issue. We were going through treatments and my wife had taken all kinds of meds the 1st month we found out I had no swimmers. Now we are at a point where we know she's most likely not able to get pregnant I want to get on some form of treatment. I've had ED throughout this process 5+ years and the only time I have morning wood is after I've take Cialis or Levitra and then for just a couple of days..very frustrating, but the sperm issue had been more important. Thanks Again!! Hi, > > I was diagnosed with low testosterone about 7 years ago. I was put on > Androderm patches which played havoc with my skin. Guest guest
, Just curious, have you ever thought of trying Clomid to increase your T and also boost sperm?? It might be worth some research, as I have found it quite beneficial as a man. Blessings, Bill Hi, > > > > I was diagnosed with low testosterone about 7 years ago. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Until I joined this group a couple of weeks ago, I'd never heard of clomid being used for anything other than fertility treatment of women. I'd never heard of arimidex either. So I'm going to need to study up so I can ask my Endo about these different options and see what she's willing to try. Thanks!! > > > > Hi Phil, > > > > Thanks for your help. I'm not currently on anything.
