Guest guest
Hi guys, me again with a womans propsective or ignorance rather:-) Sorry its been a while since I'v posted and I'v so,so much apreciated all you that replied with input back then. Hubby is going to be home in 2 weeks time, and I am quite excited and anxious at the same time with the T journey that lies ahead of us. Someone asked me when I posted lats time, wether I had his lab results? I dont sorry. They dont give you those here, but the Dr said his Free T level in January this year were 180 and went on the T pill for his low level.s in June after using the Provirion T pill one a day, its dropped down further to being that of being only 80(yes 80!) in June 6 months after starting out on the TRT pill. At the time when I wrote to y'all, I had NO idea what Testosterone was, or even how it all worked, and had to read up a lot of medical terminologies etc(which I admit, is still a jungle to try and figure all out at this point) What Ive learned here by simply reading all the posts here, far outweigh what I could read and really understand from other sites. So I am most grateful for you guys's input and deeply sympathize with everyone of your struggles. I have no idea what my husband's other levels accept for his free T levels are, so its rather difficult to know what its gotta be or not. But sure, he will be home soon for 3 weeks and then we will start out on our adventure with proper treatment for him. I made an apointment with the local Urologist here for the day hubby will arive home. I'm picking him up at the airport at noon and want to have his bloodwork done before anything else or even driving home as our GP wanted for him to have done. My questions about stuff begins with this moment. 1. The Dr will obviously do the routine T levels thing which includes the LSH and FSH(I remember this were part of the blood test he did last time) Are there ANY additional blood tests or ones we shoudl ask them to do as well? 2. I read (if I understand this correctly) that once a man goes on the T injections(which we are planning hubby to go on) it will shrink his testicles over time? OMG I don't think he will like this idea.I guess no man would probably want that to happen. So thats why the HCG thing comes in then to counteract this from happening ...am I correct? Also , in lay terms what is HCG please...can you tell me and also give me the practical side of this...is it expensive, really working and If he takes this , can he inject himself with it? Hubby is scared of needles and Its already a prospect that he only now are starting to accept since wanting a decent sex life means more to him than the short lived discomfort of needles. SZo yes, I think he will end up some day injecting himself . Untill then, there are some decent Dr's working in the army camps in Afghanistan that can assist. 3. We tried to get his T levels checked whilst his over there, but first they lost the blood sample , then it expired before they could send it of, then they said it cant be done because blood only lasts 72 hours and you gotta have it checked within that window frame period, and blah-blah..still 4 months later and no results on this. Anyway, he'll be here in 2 weeks and I sincerely wish only the best for him with a proper specialist and the right blood tests that has to be done. Please let me know if you think he needs particular tests to check it all ok? Q: Does having sex or masturbation for that matter have an influence on the T results of a blood tests? Reasons Im asking is this.I was thinking that if hubby could manage a hand job a day or so before being home,he might be able to last longer when we finally make love after 4 months of not beeing with each other. ..however...if this could to influence his blood results, perhaps its not a good idea? Let me know...pls? Im sorry for being very personal and all here, but I find thathubby and I are in a particular jam with his working away from home, unlike men that can have a controlled T management thing going we deeply depend on what you guys say, advise and experience with it all so we can cut out all the junk and time wasting things, cause time is not on our side with learning by trial and error that usually take its course with this sorta thing.Sadly , we simply dont have the luxioury of time at all. When we do see each other every 4 months for 21 days at a time , its gotta be worth every moment and same with his hormone levels. We cant afford the delay of trying things that wont work fast and effectively. I really want to say THANK YOU Phil and all of you guys really that contribute here to this. Its been a huuuuge comfort to me, and I honestly believe your all men of outstanding worth for doing something about your situation and condition. I am learning so much and its all thanks to you! Shame on any woman that ever walks away or looks down and not desperately cling to man that actually DOES care about his own health the way you guys do! I really respect you all for being here and for doing something about your lives which affects us as partners, girlfriends and wives to. I didn't initially understand it all and to a large extend I still don't, but my hubby and I are in this together and we will get there soon! Please forgive my bad English, its not my first language.I will try and do better next time. Have a great day gentleman, I hope you all have a great weekend:-) Regards Sunbeatle
