Sustanon is not very good for TRT... Sust is a blend of long, medium,

and short ester testosterone. Here's the breakdown:

30mg Propionate (~3 day half-life)

55mg Phenylpropionate (~4.5 day half-life)

65mg Caproate (~6 day half-life)

100mg Decanoate (~15 day half-life)

Just looking at that should tell you that injections every 3 weeks is

way too long as you will only have ~50mg of test remaining. That means

that you will have a high of 250mg and a low of ~50mg every 3 weeks.

That large of a swing in test levels will really screw up your well-

being. You will like Jekyl & Hyde every 3 weeks...

It is crap like this that makes me grateful that I direct my TRT,

rather than some ignorant, antiquated relic. 100mg/week of enanthate

or cypionate is not an overdose and leads to stable blood levels. In

order to get stable and adequate levels from Sustanon, you need to be

injected with 50mg of the blend every other day. Sounds to me like

you are in the UK, Europe or Australia, where treatment of

hypogonadism is still done by tradition, rather than what works.

Whatever you do, do not do Nebido. There is no way a 1000mg

injection can be stable over a 12 week period. You are going to be

too high 7 days after the shot and way too low in weeks 11 and 12.

Much like how Sustanon makes you too high the first week and low in

the third week. I take 125mg enanthate every week. There is no wild

swings in hormone levels. If Schering and Organon were serious about

providing testosterone replacement, they would stop making 250mg

ampules, instead make 100mg ampules with strict instructions to

inject once a week. Nebido and Sustanon would be no longer produced,

because those are two forms of testosterone that do not work as

advertised. What gives TRT a bad name, other than steroid " abuse " ,

is treatments that do not work due to side effects or lack of effect.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been using Nebido for four months now. Before that I used Sustanon 250

every 10 days or 5 g daily doses of Androgel. From all these three treatment

options Nebido seems to work better for me, although the three month intervals

do not appear sufficient to keep my levels up. For this reason I have been

injecting it every four to five weeks.

I expected this would be the case with nebido. If or when it comes

onto the US market, I expect that docs will try to deliver the drug in

in-office injections at the labeled dose and frequency rather than

having patients self-administer injections more frequently.

In Europe, Nebido is packaged in 4cc ampules 250mg/cc. The only way

I could see using this is 250mg per week after a 500mg loading dose.

It might be handy for when I go on vacation and do not want to carry

needles and Test with me.

I've read about test undecanoate being used with success in Europe. I

read the package insert for it and the recommended dose in an injection

every 10-14 weeks. That is insane... The undecanoate ester only has 3

more carbon atoms than cypionate so yes it has a longer half-life, but

not that much more. Let's assume that undecanoate has a 2-week half-

life, 10-14 weeks between shots is worse than cyp taken every 2 weeks.

I would think that taking it every 2-weeks would be much better, but

the dose must be doubled since you are going much longer between shots.

That said, i think i would prefer 200mg of undecanoate every two weeks

than 100mg of cyp every week.
