Well, I started TRT in October 2005. The first things I noticed was

the pain in my bones and joints went away. Next was my appetite, the

second week after my 250 mg injection, I was eating three large meals

a day. Before, I could skip breakfast, miss lunch and pick at

dinner. By week three, I started to experience the sexual side

effects. Lots of fun for me, because I went through my teen years

looking like a 10 year old with the libido of a 100 year old man.

After 2 months on, I was much stronger physically and had more

endurance. I lost fat and put on muscle. All of this without seeing

the inside of a gym. The positive effects have continued to this

day. I am fortunate in that I do not need to worry about the

testosterone converting to estrogen in excessive amounts. I am

taking it up a notch by treating my low adrenal function. For the

longest time, since childhood, I have lived with the symptoms of

adrenal insuficiency. Lucky you live Hawaii is not true if you are

heat intolerant.

BTW, my mother's side of the family is on the North Shore of Kauai.

It has been almost 20 years since I have gone back. The best parts

of my childhood were spent on my grandfather's farm. But plenty has

changed since he passed away. Not all of it for the better.

I am glad that TRT is benefiting you. Don't remember where I read

it, but a known effect of opiates is to suppress testosterone

levels. This just turns into a vicious cycle, because low

testosterone is bad for your joints, bones and muscles. I know I

would walk like an old man because my feet and back would be

painful. So you are not dreaming if the TRT is helping with your

pain. I am too young to feel old like that, I am only 33 years old.

The shame is, to doctors I am not hypogonadal. I am

depressed/hypochondriac and some Viagra and Prozac will fix what is

wrong with me. If you believe that BS, I have some land on

Kaho`olawe to sell you.

Sorry Rey,

All my life I have been bad on remembering names when I worked as an Engineer

it was a bitch. I had to deal with vendors or job shops that did design and

build for me. Now I am going nuts with names on the net 1cc is here had the

same problem. You guys will need to remember I mean well. I have read this

tread 3 times now and remember the Dr. nco's saying you could use

hydrocortisone cream. My wife is calling my Dr. to see what her blood test came

back at and to find out what we do now. She as you know has been on 2 grains of

Armour and if she takes more she goes hype. Yet her FT3 is not high. She feels

better taking Prednisone 1 mgs. a day now on it 10 days. I think it is time to

up the dose to 2 x's a day for 2 weeks then try upping the armour. We did all

the tests that were at the stopthethyroidmadness so we will see I don't think my

Dr. is up on Adrenal Fatigue and how it keeps Thyroid med for getting to the

cells when low.

One step ahead of you. I am love_en on MesoRx. I have contributed a

lot on that adrenal thread you mentioned. I am the one following Dr

's protocol and cannot find a doctor who will acknowledge that I am

hypogonadal and need help. Before embarking on TRT, I researched

's disease, because that is what I suspected in myself. I am

not 's, but my adrenal reserve is close to the baseline of a

healthy man. I took nco's advice about hydrocortisone cream. 2.5

grams of that is a replacement dose. I can tell it is working. Right

now it is 80+ and humid here in Hawaii. Without adrenal

supplementation, I would be too sick to work, eat or do much of

anything. Thanks Phil.

Phil if my memory serve me correctly you have to be careful of Prednsione. My

doctor put me on it for a cronic sore throat once, only he only prescribed it

for only

10 days. I don't remeber the dosage however. I do know that my

brother-in-Law

was on too much of it and it caused a vertibrae in his spine to collapse and

he

had back pain from then on. They couldn't treat it. It crushed one side of

the

vertabrae. So be careful on that stuff, it is dangerous. What another doctor

told

me was that is softens the bones.

From what I understand you can take up to 4 mgs a day and it is the same as your

body makes Cortisol. The body makes about 20 to 30 mgs. anything under this is

safe if one has Adernal Fatigue. My Wife has it and her Thyroglobulin AB or her

Antibodies are to high. With her Ferritin being very low what a mess no wonder

he Armour meds don't work on her thyroid. She is seeing a new Dr. that is up on

all of the on the 17th.
