what was the range given for your E2 readings? was it <54 and ur good...or are

u on a different scale? did you have other hormones checked? also, what

symptoms of high Estrogen were you experiencing?

So you are on TRT as well? As for muscle achiness....i feel as my legs and

knees are always aching...rest of body aches during sleep and in the morning

(not from oversleeping either). don't have the nose bleeds. My E2 comes back at

18...but i'm not sure they're doing it right as the month prior it was 34...i

hadn't taken anything in between.

That's great that you're feeling so much better! As for getting E2 under

50.....why be concerned? Make sure the symptoms continue to subside and you

should be fine. If they reappear than follow up with blood work. Just a

thought. Don't get caught up with numbers when you're feeling great.

I am not sure using Prometrium is a good Idea for men to lower E2. And did your

Dr. do a Ultra Sensitive test for men on your E2 can you put the test results on

here with the range. My Dr. has me on HCG and tests my Progesterone levels to

make sure the HCG is not driving it up to high. To keep my E2 down I use and

I just read that 20 mgs. is a safer dose. I never heard of Arimidex doing this

many guys on TRT doing Arimidex are getting there wifes pregnant at this site.

converts bad E2 into good E's so the body can get rid of them easier plus if you

I just read that article it seems that the studies support that it

battles E2 but that it puts your liver on overdrive. I personally take

100mg not the 200mg one they state in that article. I also do not need

to take it everyday. I can also puncture a hole in the capsule if I

want and rub it on my skin, that would take away the liver effect.

I do not have the exact tests in front of me I just know my levels

were at 150 I will go back and have them tested in 1 month. Apparently

My liver test came back good.

Im waiting for blood work to come back (for E2, Total Estrogen, and

progesterone). i've read that natural progesterone cream is effective as

well...and is sold OTC. i almost want to start taking it now but i'm gonna wait

for the lab results.

other than symptoms...anything else? weight gain...or stomach fat that is

impossible to lose while rest of body is in great shape? any gynecomastia? i

have slight gynecomastia per my endo...probably due to the propecia i was taking

for 6 years. im hoping it'll reverse naturally when my hormonal system gets

treated. i know gyne is not reversable...but i don't have breast tissue...more

fat deposit. we'll see.

at this point I guess. And like I said it seems to kick in fast so its

not something I need to take continously. I can tell when I start

feeling bad, then I just pop one in at bedtime. I can go sometimes a

week at a time without taking it.

It's funny I workout alot and also notice I get better pumps in the

gym and my muscle hardness is greater since taking the prometrium.

so did u stop taking it cuz the effect wore off? sounds like its so effective

after first week of taking it...did u get the same thing 8 months ago?

I see. so when u started taking it...did u notice any weight loss in the

stomach area?...working out of course. u mentioned steroid abuse...is that what

caused ur gyne? any way it'll be reversed or ur gonna need surgery? mine is

slight...when standing not so obvious...but sitting down it is. same with

gut..standing is ok..sitting down stomach protues out like none other.

prior to starting progesterone therapy...did you constantly feel bloated? i

feel as much of my weight is water weight as i always feel bloated. also, do

your fatty deposits feel hard? if so, than yes i hear surgery is the only way to

go. did you do any research on this novaldex (sp?) therapy to reverse gyne? it

was in a post earlier from phil.

got my lab results back...progesterone is 0.4 ng/ml with male range of 0.3 - 1.2

ng/ml.

also Estrogen Serum Total is 143 pg/ml with a range of less than 130.

my E2 is 19

do you think your 150 reading was for total Estrogen and not Estradiol?

What's the difference between Estradiol readings and Total Estrogen?

Thanks Phil. Pretty interesting to say the least. In all your research, is

Total Estrogen lab work valueable in assesing excessive estrogen? I know you've

read that progesterone leads to gynecomostia. I've been explained (several of

times) that estrogen dominance leads to gynecomastia.

Jack both Dr. and Dr. Shippen are looking into problems men can possably

have with high Total Estrogen levels. A lot of men have good Estradiol but high

Total Estrogens and feel the sides of them. As for Progesterone one needs to be

careful what they are doing one just can't read crap like this and take it as

Gospel.

There is a lot of junk out here on the web and you need to take it all with a

garin of salt. Yes there is a need to add Progesterone to a mans treatment but

not just because he has high E's. The best way to keep E's down is a AL med

like Arimidex. But before mess with this get all of your hormones in balance

first. In most case's balancing you hormones bring every thing back to normal.
