Thanks for the DIM suggestion

Phil,

I just got my most recent lab back. Total T was 750 and E2 was 35.

Tthis was after only 3 or 4 days of one pill a day of the DIM you

suggested. I had been using the Natures Way brand and E2 was running

about 50 while T was even lower around 650. Thank you Thank you! Your

brand seems to be working a lot better unless its a bad test at the

lab.. I'll check again in a month or two.

If you remember I was on HCG only for some time but it did not work

for me. Now I'm on 0.80 ml of T-cyp once a week and 400 iu of HCG the

4 days before the T-cyp injection. I run my lab on day 2 after the T-

cyp injection when total T should be peaking. I do feel better and

have better morning wood. But I also have these damn headaches. I had

an MRI and I have something going on in my sinus causing them. Once I

solve that I think I'm going to feel pretty damn good.

Thanks again for your help on this and all matter on our board.

Can DIM really act that quickly? What's the half life of E2?

Yes if your not to high works very fast and half like of E2 Estradiol is short I

can feel it go up after a shot. E2 and T go up and down about the same E2 gets

converted from T.

I must stress there is a lot of DIM out there that does not work. I have had

dam good luck with this one.

HALF LIFE List

E2

In women half life of E2 is in minutes:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=9\

\

473164 & dopt=Abstract

They gave a patch to post menopausal women and then measured E2

dissipation: " Thirteen hours after transdermal E2 placement, steady

state levels

had been reached, with a mean E2 of 112 +/- 6 pg/ml. The mean

half-life of E2 after removal of transdermal E2 was 161 min (range

107-221 min). "

Arimdex - 50 hours

Testosterone Enanthate usually has a half-life of about 7-9 days.

This results in a good total testosterone level (e.g. 700-900) at a

dose of 100 mg a week. The half-life varies though depending on the

person's ability to metabolize testosterone enanthate and

testosterone.

In some men, the half-life of Testosterone Enanthate is much shorter.

For example, in some men, the half-life is around 4 days. To achieve

a total testosterone of around 800, such a person would need about

200 mg a week.

LH has a half-

life of only about 30 minutes. When you combine this fact with the

absolute pulsatile nature of its pituitary release, care must be

taken to not place too much weight upon a single draw. A luxury

would be to acquire serial draws, say, twenty minutes apart.

However, such would be both inconvenient and probably prohibitively

expensive for the patient. The most important reason to assay the

gonadotrophins is to differentiate between primary and secondary

(hypogonadotrophic) hypogonadism.

FSH

The eight hour half-life of this hormone makes it a better marker

for gonadotrophin production. It is also less an acute phase

reactant to varying serum androgen and estrogen levels than LH.

Greatly elevated FSH levels could signal a gonadotrophin- secreting

pituitary tumor.

T

Natural T has a half life of 10 to 100 minutes.

" There are considerable variations of the half-life of testosterone

as reported in the literature, ranging from 10 to 100 minutes. "
