Guest guest
Just curious but anyone on the board have low levels of DHEA with labs? I'm a bit confused regarding TRT. Even with my E2 being high why wouldn't have I had the high from my initial start of TRT injections?...at least until it aromatased into E2? The same could be said for when I started TRT gel..i didn't feel good until after I quit the gel. I'm wondering if in fact stress and anxiety has induced my symptoms. I mean my T is in the 300-400 range with LH and FSH mid normal. My T while on TRT was 650 or so...with no E2 reading though. However, i couldn't tell the difference between on or off TRT. I wonder if my problem is in fact my low DHEA-S number. it's been steady around 150-160 with ref range of 80-560 i think. I've read several articles and various literatures regarding stress and low DHEA. i know when this all started i was going thru a real stressful time...which maybe triggered this sh*t as i showed no symptoms of it prior to my stressful time. and the little roller coasters of feeling good normally came around the time i was seeing the Endo thinking i was gonna get to the bottom of this crap. maybe that's why my T levels came up slightly during those tests not the rest. I'm gonna start with DHEA supplements today (2 25mg tablets - morning and evening). I figure it can't hurt. Anyone with thoughts on this? Phil, didn't you take DHEA? --------------------------------- How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates.
Guest guest
Hey Jack - you need to really investigate this. There is data out there that would indicate that taking DHEA will raise both estrogen and testosterone. If I remember right, it actually increase E higher than T and resulted in cases of gynomastia. Your are also getting ready to be evaluated for baseline conditions right? Don't do something that will give you wrong readings. I got my levels up from 120 to 435 on 2 pills a day I use a dam good brand. And my wifes Dr. gave her the same brand. http://www.myvitanet.com/dhea260capph.html Also he told her to do Fish Oil 3 grams a day I also do 3 grams. Most of the people I have seen with low DHEA had low cortisol and thyroid problems. Do I feel any better doing DHEA can't say. Guest guest
Dr. and Dr. Shippen say your ok as long as you don't take more the 50 mgs a day. In women DHEA turns into Testosterone and in men if you do to much it will rise E's. Phil Dan Meatheany <dmeatheany@...> wrote: Hey Jack - you need to really investigate this. Guest guest
My DHEA on a 24 hour urine test last month was 191 on a scale of 5-1476. I guess I'd call that pretty low end of the range. I thought I read on Dr 's anabolicminds forum that DHEA converted to estrogen most easily. Dr didn't say that, but it was on his forum. Not sure supplementing it is something I'd do without talking to the doc first. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Jack Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 10:08 AM Subject: DHEA supplements Just curious but anyone on the board have low levels of DHEA with labs?
