That's sounds double what most of us do. I do 100 mg once a week.

Others do 50 mg twice a week. He may just have slipped on the math

when he suggested twice a week.

Hey Hank - you are dead on - that is way too much even without the HCG. How much

do you weigh? Your right - most that are doing 2 shots a week are doing ~ 40-50

mg per shot (0.25 cc = 50 mg) and yes that size syringe it pathetic. Get you

some 1 cc with a 25 to 27g needle in my opinion. If you have a significant

amount of fat tissue (such that length of needle would not get to your muscle)

then increase the diameter and length to account for that.

think my antiaging doc is the polar opposite. I think he wants me to

bulk up like Arnold Schwartznegger! (sp?) Also, he sent me a bunch of

3ml 20 gauge needles. I have been giving myself shots for years when

I used to give myself allergy shots years ago and I took HCG IM for

awhile to help with fertility to get me wife pregnant but that needle

is HUGE! LOL It makes me nervous just looking at it! Its not a

syringe its a spear. I have some old 25 gauge heads I am going to use

and I know a local pharmacist who will sell me some more. I know from

researching that most everyone uses needles slimmer than 20gauge. I

could water my lawn with these things!

Anyway, does anyone want to comment on the dose. I am definitely

going to start with half the dose because I want to go on this slowly.

So that would be 50ml. What would you all do with the dose after

that? I think most guys are on 40-50ml twice a week right?

Finally, I am going to take my HCG shots from 125ius everyday to twice

a week at 250ius per the Crisler protocol. I guess I will do it the

day before my T shots. Any comments/advice are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Clomid?

I am 47, been diagnosed secondary hypo 5 years ago, tried all form of

TRT and finally settled on Clomid 2 years ago.

I take 12.5 mg eod and it keeps my T ~450-600.

No problems with E2, no Ups and downs, very cheap and easy.

I can't remember is .5cc = to .5mgs this is what I don't understand this is dam

low of a dose.

200mg of test HERE is a lot... but I know of folks in the group doing

150mg/week... I do 125 of enthenate myself (1/2cc of 250mg/ml) myself

and generally feel GREAT.

mind you real BB guys will be doing at least a cc twice a week of the

250mg/ml stuff... that's 500mg... plus several hundred mg of other

stuff like nandralone (btw... a TINY bit of nandralone can really help

your joints... but I'm talking 1/4cc a week not the 2cc a BB would be

doing... and btw if you're adding nandralone for creaky joints you

HAVE to be doing test with it... nandralone alone is a surefire way to

kill the libido)

Ok if .5cc = 100mg using 200mgs/ml of T and your Dr. wants you to do this 2

times a week this is to much. You need to do to start 50mgs 2 times a week.

I don't use cc needles I use ml so how to mesure this I can't say.

technically they're different...

but in reality a 1cc=1ml

it's like a gram is a measurement of mass, not weight, but on the

surface of the earth (at sea level) they're the same.

off Clomid and put me on HCG. The HCG alone does not get my levels

where they need to be for me to feel good. Adding the Testosterone

Thanks to everyone on here for the great comments. I weigh about 203

lbs and am 6'1 " but 200 mgs a week seemed excessive. I spoke to my

doc over the weekend and he is going to let me half the dose to 50mgs

twice a week for a total of 100mg a week. I got some 22 gauge 1 inch

needles and am going to inject IM in the thigh. I don't have much

bodyfat on my legs so this should work great. thanks to everyone for

the great comments. It is so reassuring to have this forum to discuss

our issues/treatments. Hank

My experience is that most mds prescribe Clomid doses way to big.

I think 6 to 25mg a day will work for most people and if it does not

then clomid is not for you anyway.

I happened to find a very good endo abouit 2 years ago and he

confirmed my observations.

Clomid is the most 'natural' of all TRT treatments.

What was your dose?

One more thing I wanted to add:

don't blindly trust your MD. do your own research and experimentation

with dosage. it took me about 8 months to figure the right dose

and it turned to be 8 times smaller than my then current endo

prescribed. and the bigger dose of Clomid will make your T jump up

fast, so it will convert to E2 fast and high E2 will make you dizzy.
