Guest guest
I was on the American Pharmacy stuff, and just switched to Novarel. Your message explains why the pharmacy couldn't get me the AP brand...they just said it was out of stock and the warehouse didn't have any. I've only been on it a couple of weeks (4 injections), I don't see a difference. The one major difference I know of is that Novarel is only good for 30 days after mixing, while the AP said 60 days on the label. Phil (I think it was Phil) said he noticed a stronger kick from Novarel in a previous message I posted on this topic. > Who has used novarel or generic hcg? > > I have just been informed that the generic hcg that is >manufactured by American pharma is being discontinued. >The medco pharmacist phoned me to let me know. They gave me >the option to get Novarel in it's place. Guest guest
Do you mean they are going to discontinue manufacturing APP or is your pharmacy not going to carry APP anymore? > > I have just been informed that the generic hcg > that is manufactured by American pharma is being discontinued. > The medco pharmacist phoned me to let me know. Guest guest
I hard a long time ago that MedcoHealth was having trouble with the APP and it may be they are not going to use it anymore. Guest guest
This evening I was informed by a Costco pharmacy in the Seattle area that they can no longer obtain any type of HCG. I have used Novarel, Pregnyl, and lately some sort of generic version, but they said that none of these is available. I had previously had trouble obtaining it from Costco in Portland, so now at least the entire Northwest is affected. I have not yet found out if this is a manufacturing problem or just something to do with the pharmaceutical distributor that Costco buys from. I'll try to post what I find out about this. Guest guest
> Just what is Novarel anyway, could you explain to me so I can I've used Novarel and generic HCG. I was using it for about 3 months late last year. Problem was I didn't have enough conrols in place. I was doing it on my own since I couldn't get any doctors to help me. Stuff works; my T levels went up TOO high since I couldn't get blood tests very often. They went over 1500; thus my body went into aromatization and my estradiol went up as well. (107) Put a big damper on my libido. My levels are down now (Estradiol was 67 last test-yes, finally got a doctor to listen) However, she's working too slowly for me. I'm not happy with the still high E level and since she would not prescribe an anti-Estrogen. I've found a source for Arimidex and Nolvadex and am taking them to bring the E. back to the 30's or less. www.ctdresearch.com sells liquid forms of quite a bit of stuff at a reasonable price. But, good news, my testicles are noticably larger than they were when I started. I got my hands on some HMG as well during that period. You can get a lot of leftover meds at www.freegaragesale.org from women who are selling their leftover HCG/Pregnyl,Clomid etc. I never lied to them but I never told them it was for myself either. If you go there be careful because there are scammers who will take your money and never send you anything. I only got scammed once for $50 till I learned to be carefull. Guest guest
I checked with several other pharmacies in my area. None of them have HCG. Of course a couple of them had never even heard of it. Walgreens had it on their website, but it was not available in one of their stores. They said I might be able to order it online. The Walmart pharmacist knew instantly that he didn't have it and couldn't order it. A compounding pharmacy which advertises that they specialize in hormone replacement did not have any HCG and no suggestions for obtaining it. Finally I called the outpatient pharmacy at the teaching hospital where my endocrinologist works. The pharmacist there told me that he had read an article in a trade journal about how there was a shortage due to manufacturing problems. But he said that he could not obtain it from his distributor and advised me to just try " calling around " . I'm trying to locate a news article or FDA order about this. > > This evening I was informed by a Costco pharmacy in the Seattle > area that they can no longer obtain any type of HCG. Guest guest
I was able to get mine at Walgreens with no problem....do you have one in your neighborhood? The prescription just said HCG so that stumped them at first but when they figured out it was Choronic Gonadotropin then it was no problem. The brand I get from them is Novarel 10,000 USP units. wheresmylh <no_reply > wrote: I checked with several other pharmacies in my area. None of them have HCG. Guest guest
> > Try MedcoHealth I just got mine. Looks like you have to be part of a group pharmacy benefit plan to order from MedcoHealth, which due to my life mismanagement, I am not. Guest guest
I finally managed to find a pharmacy that stocks HCG. Here's a tip for anyone else that is looking for it: Try pharmacies that specialize in fertility medications. I found some in my area by searching online and the first place I called had HCG, at a lower price than Costco. > > > > This evening I was informed by a Costco pharmacy in the > Seattle > > area that they can no longer obtain any type of HCG.
