Presuming 1 mg of powder = 3 iu as with Humatrope, you should mix with 5 cc bacteriostatic water, then 1 iu = .33 cc. -gts
Guest guest
Dale: The correct dosage would be .2 cc, which would give you 1 iu and 15 injections before running out. ( 15 iu into 3 cc = .2cc/iu) Randy

Humatrope vials hold 5cc and come with 5cc vials of water, which is convenient. -gts
Guest guest
Hi Randy, thanks and I figured that out just after I hit the send button. I forgot to subtract the portion that was already used. Also for your info, after about 4 weeks on the T cream (only 5 mg a day) my total t was 313 at about 4 P.M., up from about 112 (test taken at abut 3 P). My free testosterone dropped to 7, which surprised me. Can you (or anyone) explain by my free would drop. Thanks, Dale bikeice@... wrote: > Dale: > The correct dosage would be .2 cc, which would give you 1 iu and 15 > injections before running out. Guest guest
question regarding 1st injection. i took my 1st injection friday evening....by sat morning my achey knees were no more!...and has felt great since. now..my T hasn't been below 350 over the last year (it was 276 prior to quitting propecia). i injected 100mg of T...plan to do 100mg/week for 5 weeks prior to drawing labs and possibly changing dosage (based on how i feel and numbers). right now though...is it safe to say my T levels are at its peak (4days into injection)? or will it take time for my T levels to get higher? does ur own prod'n shut down after 1st injection? haven't seen any difference in libido/erections just yet..though it took like 2 weeks of TRT gel for results to show. should i expect same with injections? thanks jack --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
I had a lot less pain after my first shot comming off gels. A lot of men have told me that there pain went away after starting on shots. Your T levels will be highest after your first few shots for 3 - 4 days then start to fall off this is why Dr. has his men on HCG the 2 days before there next shot. So after your next test try adding HCG 250 IU's on the 5th and 6th days after your T shot. By this time your T levels will be more stable in your blood the half lifes will have built up. Here is a cut & paste of what Dr. said about this. It is absolutely incorrect to say " it takes a while " for TRT to " build-up " . With TD's, stable serum levels are attained by the end of the second or third day. Many of my guys report dramatic differences in libido and sense of well-being within a couple of hours of their first injection. I suspect this is due to direct stimulation of LH receptors in the brain, however. Even IM TRT can completley change things for a guy within a couple of days. Guest guest
I inject myself in the morning. I was recommended to do it in the evening too so I can sleep thru any ill effects. The thing is, I workout at the gym in the morning so do the shot directly after. That way I will get any effects over with before I go back to the gym the next morning. I'm afraid if I do it at night, that would effect my working out. It works out for me since I don't work. My doctor also told me that from now on I should inject myself in the evening-is there any medical reason for this? Or is this just so you can sleep through the side effects. I'd rather inject myself in the afternoon and thus hopefully get on with my life's routines quicker. Since my genotype in 1, I don't want to put my full life on hold for nearly a year. Guest guest
Honey, First of all great on the first injection going so well. And as far as it is a indicator of things to come, well it is different with different people. Like Jackie said, take a bit of protein with your meds that helps, Tylenol or a similar anti-inflammatory on shot night. Yes, sleep through the side effects. I often did. Drink plenty of water, I can't stress that enough. Carry a water bottle with you where ever you go. Won't be hard to drink the water as I was thirsty all the time I was on treatment. This is the time to baby yourself. On treatment nights I had a this is Janet's night. I changed to sheets to some comfortable ones, I like high thread count sheets as they feel better and I like them crisp and straight. LOL I would set up my bottle of frozen water on the bedside table (that way it stayed cold all night long. in case I woke up thirsty.) I'd put on my most comfy p.j.'s . Next I would turn the stereo on low and put on some soothing music to sleep by. (By the way if you want me to burn you some of my Cd's let me know as I have quite a collection now). The doctor wants you to inject in the evening so that you can sleep through the side effects. You don't have to put your life on hold. I didn't. I have a very active family, and although I moved slower than they did. I did what I needed to do. On the day after the shot, I was pretty much toast. Wore out, aching to some extent. But otherwise I was able to do anything I needed to do. During treatment, I have taken trips, yuppers. To California,Alabama,Texas (to Sea World-yeah I did), and we are not talking in a airplane, we drove!! Now I will admit, I did rent one of those motorized carts to ride in at Sea World. And I wasn't above using a motorized cart at Wal-mart if I had a lot of shopping. (Yes, I shop at Wal-mart and I am a redneck. heck I live on the Oklahoma-Texas border). LOL The thing is I decided I was not going to let it rule my life, Change it somewhat yeah, I can deal with that. But I am the mother of a 11 year old girl, I first did treatment when she was 8, and re-did treatment when she just turned 10. So I planned to be a part of her life as much as possible. She is a cheerleader and has lots of Friday night games. Sure enough Mom has been there all along for her. She has been a cheerleader since she was 7. I have went dancing with my husband on treatment. What I am saying is that, yes, I was on treatment. And while I was not the fastest runner on the track, I was there competing. (that is a metaphor I wasn't running. LoL) Good luck honey and we are here for you. Guest guest
I did great my first 2 weeks..I even drove all the way from Oregon to Arkansas...that was in the end of May, Then in July, I drove back again from Oregon to Arkansas...It was terrible..I couldnt go more than 3-5 hours a day..one day even just 2 hours..It cost me a dang fortune in motel bills..I was swelling up since I wasnt able to drink as much water..then about 2 weeks after i got home I hurt my sciatica nerve and was basicly bed ridden although at around week 12 I felt half way normal again, shot day and the next being the worse..so if you could do it friday nights that would be great..and nights are so you sleep through it..while I was down with the back, I got very swollen in my legs hands face and belly..it was awful..again because I wasnt drinking enough cuz I couldnt get out of bed...I stopped tx about 4 weeks ago for 2 weeks ( I felt wonderful), but only because of the swelling I had gained around 15 lbs in that 3 weeks in bed. I was going to just stop but I got my viral load back and it had only gone down to 285K from 4 mill. So I said I have to finish this. So, I did my 1st shot two weeks ago after my break (NOT RECOMMENDED)...and it was like starting all over, I am sore, cranky, sweating all the time, and not sleeping..I go to the doc today..and will see what he says...the swelling has gone down, thank God..I am doing more now..I still only want to lay in bed but I get up more and go out now..I am also having problems with swallowing, and feeling like food is getting stuck, water too..so I am going to ask him about this too..so time will tell.. welcome and ask anything..there are many more smarter than I..lol geri
Guest guest
Hey, I say do it whenever it fits your schedule,, I started my shots on Sat so that I could always get cover on the ambulance if it rolled around to my day,, and I could sleep until Monday,, I eventually moved my shots back one day to Fri when I went on disability. it was just easier to be on the same schedule as my shot buddies,, Ally <4thMoon@...> wrote: I inject myself in the morning.
