Guest guest
Hi Tom, I haven't used either Androgel or Testin but I have used patches which did me no good, so I went to the shots of T. I think most guys that I have talked do better on the Testosterone shots, I am sure that your insurance would cover them wouldn't it. Mine does anyway. Just a thought. They don't hurt all that much and I get much more kick out of them doing them once a week. Guest guest
I've used Tesim Gel and it was fine... my wife just didn't like the smell and i hated how it left me feeling sticky if i applied it in the morning after my shower (which was everyday). I'm much happier with injections... > > Because of limitations in my health insurance prescription drug plan, I > have just been denied coverage for Androgel, which I have used for > several years. Guest guest
I used it went from Androgel to Testim my Dr. told me when it came out that it worked better and it did my levels were higher. When you put it on it comes in tubes I was dong one tube per side or 10 grams this only got me up to 600 total T and I need to be up over 800 better at 1000. So If your on one tube put half on one side and the other on the other side. Spread it out on your upper arms and shoulders going down your back as far as you can reach and rub it in well. It has a smell to it and people would ask me what kind of after shave I use. But after a time I could not smell it any more go use to it some don't like the smell. Don't up on a shrit until you are dry like 10 mins. Guest guest
My T Testo was 181 on 12/30/05. I've been using Testin since January 06. My T Testo was retested on 3/9/06 and the level is 825. Doc wants to reduce application to every other day to reduce the levels. Guest guest
No bad idea read the insert that comes with your Testim the body need to be regular doing a T med that is ment to be used eveyday will put your body in stress and on the days your not using your system will go nuts trying to make up for the lost T. Also if your put the gel on then get the blood test you will get a high false reading. Do the test first then go home and put on the Testim. You did not say how much Testim your on. I was doing 10 grams and all my levels got up to were 600 you had to have put on the med first and spiked the test. Also neve lower a T med on one test labs mess up all the time. You will crash and get set back weeks better to be safe then sorry. Phil vwdude00 <no_reply > wrote: My T Testo was 181 on 12/30/05. I've been using Testin since January 06. Guest guest
Actually I did not apply the gel the day of the test. I'm using 5 grams a day. Guest guest
Have the test redone and make sure you take a shower before you go for the test if they stick the needle into a spot were you put on the testim the day before it will give a high reading. I have never seen anyone that high on 5 grams. Phil vwdude00 <no_reply > wrote: Actually I did not apply the gel the day of the test. I'm using 5 grams a day. Guest guest
Thanks! I'm starting with it Saturday morning (tomorrow) since I'm now out of Androgel. Hopefully I will have the same result as you have had. Guest guest
Phil, My Urologist stated that I was responding well to the HRT. He felt the numbers were high and want me to begin applying the gel on alternate days. I actually feel pretty good. I'm not as tired or moody as I had been before. I'm in MD. Guest guest
That is a bad Idea the body likes regularity this comes from one of the best Dr.'s for TRT Dr. . Doing gels the testosterone is stored just under the skin going into the blood stream for 24hrs. Doing the gel every other day will put your body in shock the day you don't use it your body will go nuts trying to keep your levels up. Not a good Idea better to lower the dose. Read the insert that comes with the gel. I would question your Dr.'s knowledge on TRT. Phil vwdude00 <no_reply > wrote: Phil, My Urologist stated that I was responding well to the HRT. Guest guest
I began seeing a Endochronologist in May. My blood work revealed that while on Testim my testosterone remained above 900 but the semen analysis indicated no sperm in sample. Prior to using Testim there was living sperm in the sample. In addition to shrinkage, my testicles shutdown production of testosterone and sperm as a result of using Testim. My Endo started me on Novarel to restore natural production. Insurance covered Testim but not the Novarel. Has anyone used Novarel? If so, what were the results? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi and welcome it is good to see someone seeing a Endo that is good at treating low T. Dr. has a site you need to go to and read. But first if you want to make kids you must stop TRT to build up your sperm then test it if it is good have it frozen. Being on TRT shuts down your HPTA this means your brain checks to see if you need more hormones and see's the Testim in your blood and stops sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis. HCG is a stimulater of the LH cells in your body and brain but I don't think it works to build up sperm when on TRT. Go to this site www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and his HCG update. I have been on HCG for a yr. now but I am 62 I do T shots every 3 days 64 mgs and the 2 days between I do 350 IU's of HCG after 22 yrs. on TRT this has me feeling the best ever.
