Guest guest
Does anyone know if nolvadex would work to reduce gynecomastia. current gyne is all fat and no nodules or hard lumps of any kind. also, not really breast tissue...more like flab/fat. ive read that nolvadex (tamiofixen citrate) is known to help this as it's an estrogen blocker. question is my E2 today is 18 or so...yet i still have gyne. i do not know what my E2 was over the last 6 years when this all started (it was almost the same 6 years ago...maybe a bit more now but still no nodules). is it possible that e2 is stored in there? probably not as my blood would show high E2 than right. im hoping once my T levels rise i'll be able to burn the fat in that area thru cardio and working out. i finally now realize why i can curl 45lb dumbells, 110lbs straight bar, do 115lb skull crushers (tricep excercise)....yet struggle to bench press 135lbs. i wish i knew my math 6 years ago and put 2 and 2 together to realize i had some imbalances. funny how libido had to nose dive before i put it together. thanks jack --------------------------------- Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
Hey Jack - What does you body look like relative to fat distribution? What I am getting at is are your breast unusually out of proportion to the rest of you body relative to fat deposits? Prior to TRT, I had fat in my chest but was not what I would call " Man Boobs " . I have always been big on cardio workouts (primarily running) but over the last few years, I was no longer lean even though I continued to work out. I use to be 145 lbs. (5'8 " tall) so I was pretty thin. Started gaining weight and got up to 170 lbs. which was fat not muscle. Started on TRT and have been able to reduce the fat including the chest with proper diet and exercise. I am running about 900 max on total T. Hope this helps - Arkansas Jack <rockin813@...> wrote: Does anyone know if nolvadex would work to reduce gynecomastia. current gyne is all fat and no nodules or hard lumps of any kind. also, not really breast tissue...more like flab/fat. ive read that nolvadex (tamiofixen citrate) is known to help this as it's an estrogen blocker. question is my E2 today is 18 or so...yet i still have gyne. i do not know what my E2 was over the last 6 years when this all started (it was almost the same 6 years ago...maybe a bit more now but still no nodules). is it possible that e2 is stored in there? probably not as my blood would show high E2 than right. im hoping once my T levels rise i'll be able to burn the fat in that area thru cardio and working out. i finally now realize why i can curl 45lb dumbells, 110lbs straight bar, do 115lb skull crushers (tricep excercise)....yet struggle to bench press 135lbs. i wish i knew my math 6 years ago and put 2 and 2 together to realize i had some imbalances. funny how libido had to nose dive before i put it together. thanks jack --------------------------------- Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
Jack I would not try any kind of E2 blocker with a level at 18 for E2 and if this test is old the retest first you are on the good low side now if you go lower you will be in bad shape. Guest guest
Hey Jack, pretty decent weights on those exercises (I curl 50lbs on my heavy sets, 115 on straight bar curls, and 100 on skull crushers, my flat bench is 175-195 depending on how I feel). But you lost me on the bit about why high E2 would allow you to do some decent weights with the arms but not the chest! I've got similar issues with breast fat/possible-gyno...your body description in another post could have been me talking. > Re: slight gynecomastia > >Does anyone know if nolvadex would work to reduce >gynecomastia. current gyne is all fat and no nodules or hard >lumps of any kind. also, not really breast tissue...more like >flab/fat. > > ive read that nolvadex (tamiofixen citrate) is known to help >this as it's an estrogen blocker. question is my E2 today is >18 or so...yet i still have gyne. i do not know what my E2 >was over the last 6 years when this all started (it was almost >the same 6 years ago...maybe a bit more now but still no >nodules). is it possible that e2 is stored in there? >probably not as my blood would show high E2 than right. im >hoping once my T levels rise i'll be able to burn the fat in >that area thru cardio and working out. i finally now realize >why i can curl 45lb dumbells, 110lbs straight bar, do 115lb >skull crushers (tricep excercise)....yet struggle to bench >press 135lbs. i wish i knew my math 6 years ago and put 2 and >2 together to realize i had some imbalances. funny how libido >had to nose dive before i put it together. > > thanks > jack > > >--------------------------------- > > Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. > >
Guest guest
i don't have high E2...well at least today i don't. as for my weak bench press..i was refering to how weak my bench press is as i have almost zero chest muscle. im using my arms for the bench press...thats why i suffer. my buddies always give me shit at the gym cuz my bench is so weak while rest of workout is great (for most part). i wear cut off Ts so i look huge...but no one realizes i have zero chest muscle. Guest guest
Do you attribute your lack of chest muscle to TRT or hormone imbalances, or just for not working it enough? I've got a good hard layer of muscles in my chest, fairly strong, but on top of it is a thick layer of fat and maybe some gyno. I do the same thing you do, wear cut off sleeve t-shirts that emphasize big looking arms and draw attention from the man boobs. ;-) _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Jack Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 7:22 PM Subject: RE: slight gynecomastia i don't have high E2...well at least today i don't. as for my weak bench press..i was refering to how weak my bench press is as i have almost zero chest muscle. im using my arms for the bench press...thats why i suffer. my buddies always give me shit at the gym cuz my bench is so weak while rest of workout is great (for most part). i wear cut off Ts so i look huge...but no one realizes i have zero chest muscle. Guest guest
im not taking any TRT...so im suggesting it is caused by the hormonal imbalance. its not allowing me to develop chest muscle. i understand it takes time...but fat deposits aren't normal in the chest area for healthy men...so not only can i develop muscle there it's also a haven for fat deposit. Guest guest
The only thing I might disagree with is that if the hormone imbalance causes you the inability to add muscle to your chest, why are you able to add it to your arms? _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Jack Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 6:16 AM Subject: RE: slight gynecomastia im not taking any TRT...so im suggesting it is caused by the hormonal imbalance. its not allowing me to develop chest muscle. i understand it takes time...but fat deposits aren't normal in the chest area for healthy men...so not only can i develop muscle there it's also a haven for fat deposit. Guest guest
Yep same here when I started working out 1 yr. ago I had some muscle a lot more then I thought I would have after being house bound for yrs. In a short time my work out program was past the other old farts there. I have a lot of fat on my chest but a lot of muscle under the fat. My chest press is at a load of 50 lbs for 12 reps and 60lbs for 8 reps then back to 55 lbs for 10 reps. I am 62.
