Guest guest Posted July 14, 2006 Report Share Posted July 14, 2006 --- Looking at your results it looks like you could be secondary hypogonadal as your FSh is low. I would ask the doctor to find out if you are primary or secondary hypo by doing a stimulation test for example USing HCG injection and then retesting to see if your levels come up and if they do then your testes are ok but your pituitary isn't functioning properly. I would find out if primary or secondary before starting any treatment. My doctor didn't and now I am having a hell of a time to get everything checked out but found a good doctor on the right path finally after 5 years. You want to find a doctor who specializes in sex hormone problems and preferably treats lots of male patients that are hypogonadal. Hope this makes your journey easier ! What other test I >could do? Your total T is quite normal and solidly good. You should get tested for prolactin and for E2. Both of these can rob T of its effect. Also get tested for SHBG. Testosterone can be bound to albumin and other non-SHBG molecules. This portion is the " weakly bound " component of testosterone. This component plus the free testosterone is the " free and weakly bound " testosterone or " bioavailable " testosterone. Total t = shbg-bound + weakly-bound + free t May I suggest that you discontinue the clomid therapy and try hcg instead. Or maybe exogenous t. You get a false reading if your doing Clomid and testing for E2 and Free T. Plus he now feels Free T is not as inportant as Total T when on TRT. I thought Dr usually goes by bio-available T or free T when bio-available is not avialable. Dr. says you need to have Clomid out of your body to test this. Free T should not be over the top of range but it is all over the place and hard to get a good idea where your at after going on TRT. This is why he dose bio-available T this is better then Free T.
