Hi SteveJ1996 and Welcome.

Most of us have been down this road thinking we are suffering from depression

and put on them dam meds.

For the first 5 yrs that I got sick they did every kind of test on me but low

T. After not finding anything wrong they told me I am suffering from Major

Depression. I had to go along with this because I was so sick I could not work

and was on sick leave. So to keep my job and keep getting my sick pay I had to

pur up with this.

To make a long story short after 5 yrs. I got a bad bladder infection and had

to see a Uro he found me to have low T. I was on so many AD med's I had to go

into a Re-Hab unit for 30 to get off all the dam AD meds.

When I started on TRT all my feeling of fatigue were gone and I was back to

work. I was never Depressed but it was the Low T.

After 22 yrs. on TRT and not feeling 100% I live in the U.S. and have been

a member here and on other groups for the last 5 yrs. I was on Androgel from

the time it came out to last yr. The longer I was on it the more my joints and

muscles hurt it got so bad in my back, legs and arms that I could hardy walk. I

am 62 and my Dr. felt it was my age and that I have Arthritis I was put on many

meds for this last one was Celebrex nothing worked.

Last yr. I found a site www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for

Success and the HCG Update. I printed this and gave it to my Dr. and told him I

need to try this he said ok and this is where I am today.

I have no more pain and walk 1 hr. on the days I am not at the gym exercising on

16 work out machines. I got to the gym 3 days a week. Last yr. I lost over 65

lbs and got much stronger doing things around the house are nothing today. I

started on this 14 months ago doing 150 mgs. of Depo T shots every week and HCG

250 IU's on the 5th and 6th days after the T shots. Doing this my total T went

up from 600 to 1087 and I started to feel the best I ever felt in the 22 yrs. I

have been TRT. My libido is though the roof and my sex life is like I was 20

again.

Only problem was on this my Estradiol went way up and at the time I was using

Indolplex/DIM to keep my Estradiol down and it was not doing the job anymore so

my Dr. added Arimidex. Problem is when my Estardiol goes up I break out in a

bad rash on the back of my califs that I don't dare scratch, it will burn if I

scratch it. I also broke out between my toes bad and no med worked. After a

time I figured this out it was the Indolplex/DIM I took it a at dinner time and

by 8pm that nigh I had this rash problem. I stopped the DIM and felt much

better but still Estradiol was a problem I was up and down like on a roller

coaster ride. I was taking one mg. a day to keep my Estradiol down and still

this was not enough.

I read a post by a guy that sees Dr. Shippen the author of " The Testosterone

Syndrome " in his book he was down on shots. Yet this guy told me that now Dr.

Shippen does shots but in his belly every 3 days. He said that doing this kept

his Estradiol in check. So I told my Dr. and he said ok if I don't mind doing

shots that much a week. I talked to this guy again and he told me Dr. Shippen

has him doing his shots with a 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle in his belly. So I

started doing my T shot every 3 days 52mgs and my HCG 100 IU's everyday. But my

Dr. would not let me do them in the belly.

Wow this is the best I ever felt Estradiol is not a big problem I now take a

..5 Arimidex on the day of the T shot. My testis were real small from being on

TRT and now using the HCG they are beck to there normal size and when I do the

shot of HCG I get a feeling of well being not a high but a feeling like a ton of

weight was lifted off my shoulders.

So after all these yrs. I now have my sex life back my poor wife can't keep up

with me. All you need to do is keep your Total and Free T up in the upper 1/3

of your labs range for a young man and keep your Estradiol down between 10 to 30

best at 20. I have my morning wood back after over 35 yrs not having them.

Read this link it is the first one I read when I joined here.

First question, is there a direct relationship between Hypogonadism

was diagnosed, they put me on 5mg of androgel but that only brought my

testestorene levels up to 90, I was initially diagnosed with under 30

shots, but then was told that increasing androgel to 10mg was more

effective. I tried both ways and can't really tell the difference.

Also, during this time I started to see a Psychiatrist for mild

depression and anxiety. They put me on 100 mg Zoloft, but now I just

switched over to 40mg of Celexa since my insurance doesn't cover

zoloft anyomore. Anyway, I think I'm doing better now; I just wanted

glad I found this site.

One of the biggest things bothering me is that I have never had a

end up just being just a " friend " to girls, haha.) Now that could be

due to many factors, too many to name, lol. Is there anyone else

going through this? If you don't mind, how is your sex lives going?

This problem definitely puts a hamper on it, no one could deny that.

My confidence and self-esteem is really low, yet I'm functioning (or

at least think I am) fine corporate life. In those ways, I think the

Zoloft/Celexa is working. I don't know, it's pretty depressing though.

Please tell me there are success stories out there regarding

relationships and sex with this obstacle named Hypogonadism. I did

read that some of you are married and have a kid, which is really

good. They told me the chances to have kids are slim but possible.

Anyway, just wanted to share my story, if anyone has any

advice/feedback, I look forward to reading it.

Thanks.

Hello steve and welcome. For me atleast being this is the first Im seeing your

words. I'm 28 and a half and have never been with a female thus, a virgin as

well.

The outsiders don't know what that does in full. I was born with primary

hypogonadism but due to malpractice from doctors I had to suffer thru horrible

side effects and sub-side effects from not being on a TRT, etc.

I have no idea how to act around females. For example, this beautiful doctor at

the derm. clinic today was my resident. She was around my age; didn't look like

a model but someone if I was cool and hung would comfront. I felt very

uncomfortable and told her. Even if she was a doctor all the trepidation I have

toward females including the hate for them not giving me a chance, tends to come

forth in situations like that.

Im proud of you for even working. I cant yet nor would I enter cooperate America

when I do. I dont have the education nor skills yet.... Yet another reminder of

how withdrawn and depressed I was growing up, on top of having abnormal

gentialia and learning disabilities.

Celexa is good. I used to take that emount even 60mg at one point. Thats when

doctors didnt know I had primary hypogonadism just horrible depression.

I stopped taking celexa because I think it messes with my T shots thus, making

me very weak. Besides, now Im taking T shots I dont feel so depressed. But its

the same crap, you have lived a certain way its hard to try and change.

Dude, Im a pretty approachable guy to talk towards anytime you want Im

available. Good luck and continue to fight.

Hi ,

Thanks for the advice, it's nice to hear a success story from someone who was

going through the same thing as me. I just wanted to clarify a few things. I

was told that the androgel or shots do not effect the size of testis, that

there is no way through treatment to increase the size. It seems like that is

not true according to your experience. Should I bring that point up to my

doctor? Also, how did the androgel affect your joints and muscles, does it

effect people differently? I look forward to hearing from you and once again

thanks for the input.

Take care.

Hi Elliot,

Thanks bro, I can't believe i found someone around my age with the exact same

problems as me. You are absolutely right with everything, expecially the fear

of intimicay with females. It is very hard to change when you've lived a

certain way your whole life. It is one of the hardest things to do, how is

treatment working for you now?

I've masked my insecurities with Anti-depressants and Androgel to survive at

work, it is hard but something i'm continiously working on. Life is not easy,

but it's worth fighting for.

For example, there are plenty of chicks at work that I want to be with, some

I'm real cool with, but I know it will not get on that level that i want due to

problems stemming from Hypo, and that is depressing. It does seem like there

is hope out there though, as i've been reading other posts.

Keep your head up bro, it could only get better. I look forward to hearing

from you, good luck, too.

Thanks for getting back jeffrey. Let me know if you want to be called by

something else like a nick name or whatever.... It's been and still is a

struggle to find folks that can understand my situation. I'm glad I found one in

you but not glad you are going thru some heavy stuff the same as me. Life is

worth fighting for even for me when I feel it's not or what's the point....

I know all too well about having feelings for a female and knowing she won't

feel them back and or not having the " confidence " to comfront her. Happened

badly on my last job. I realized I had a serious problem that was going to stick

with me until I seeked help. That help was for depression and then as I brought

my male breast into the surface more attention started coming toward a hormonal

disorder...I never knew I was primary but given I was so depressed and withdrawn

growing up, I shouldn't have. But I blame those doctors at birth for failing to

notice a cute baby with an undescended testicle.

Hey bro, Im here once again if you never need to talk. I would like to better

understand you and how you got this far and have become successful.

Given if you were born with primary hypogonadism and it didnt appear later in

life Im ponderous but very proud of you.

I dont know what to tell you about the females at your job...Never show your

inexperience and never allow your hate if you have it toward females to surface.

I did and it was just a matter of me blaming them and myself for what I am and

what I am not. Never did I abuse my humanly powers onto anyone.

If you can afford it treat yourself to a nice whore.... I was pondering that

given I have a blah birthday in a couple of months. But what's the point in

paying for a bond life should have given to me? Dunno, Im on dating services but

dont get responses. The ones that do seem very sexual which is a turn off for

me, given the only thing I could do to them is poke.... I know a female will

laugh at my size and I run some where and cry or worst... I dunno.

Dude do you have friends? Are you close with your family as well?

If you want to talk in private you know my email. I don't want to seem nosy.

Well take care jeff.

Thanks for responding back Mr Phil. I'm glad you didn't take my words out of

content. I really respect your knowledge and opinions given they're solid each

time.

Mr Phil, are sure it isn't the HCG not TRT that is sending the " signal " to the

brain that your testes are producing testosterone normally thus, why you and

along with your body may feel much better after taking HCG? 'Normally' meaning

your body actually makes your own sperm with the help of HCG to stimulate

it...Not the HCG tricking the brain into thinking you are making your own T.

It's that 'signal' the brain needs in thinking the TRT and HCG is the bodys

actual T. We all know once we stop taking it our testosterone levels will start

to decrease because the body cannot function without it much like prior when the

hypogonadism occurred.

I have not read your sperm counts Mr Phil. I guess that is one direct way in

knowing if HCG in both hypogonadism males actually works. The basic function of

HCG would raise the sperm count thus, your testes would function or if you are

secondary re-function normally again. So, if you have that blood work I would

love to read the before results and after results of your sperm count.

Any information further is a key for me and other males as well. I'm not trying

to nosy but I know you do give out that type of information.

Elliot you missed what I was saying.

Men with low T going on T meds. shut down the HTPA so taking T med. the brain

stops sending the message to the testis to make T. After a time on T meds the

testis get small from not working. They are not working because there not

getting the LH and FSH messages from the Pituitary in the brain to the testis to

make T. So it is TRT that shuts down the testis. Adding HCG does not put LH or

FSH into the blood stream but it acts like LH and stimulates the testis to make

T. Also stimulates other LH receptors even ones we don't know about. The new

thinking is that a man with low T also needs HCG in his treatment to keep 3

hormone path ways working. Adding T shuts down HTPA adding HCG simulates LH and

keeps things working normal. For use men on TRT is has nothing to do with sperm

count.

Elliot, have you researched Klinefelter's syndrome & the varients?

If it s true Klinefelters then you are sterile.

If the Mosaic variation then you produce some sperm, but have the extra

female chromosomes. Female cells usually in the upper body. High

estrogen, low testosterone, Sparse body hair, extra fat layer, & large

boobs, small penis & testicles.
