Guest guest
thanks for the input. i got my results in front of me. For Estradiol it says 17 pg/ml and range is less than 54. My DHT is 840pg/ml and range given is 155- 553. DHEA Sulfate is 159mcg/dl and range is 80-560. So this was after one week of TRT...taken in the afternoon. Estradiol test method is unknown..it just says Estradiol. As for my DHT...makes sense probaly cuz i was just on TRT for the week..T must be converting to DHT. That's good right..seeing as its not turning into E2. Can the water weight/bloated feeling be just my body reacting to TRT..and goes away? Anyone experience this when on TRT in the beginning. One person mentioned its natural and ignore it. after discontinueing the TRT the feeling went away..im wondering if it would have gone away even if i continued the TRT. Any thoughts? I guess I'm glad my E2 isn't sky high. I'll just get back on the TRT and see what happens. I'll take T readings 2 weeks from now. Opinions welcome. > > What was the final consensus on Tofu? Guest guest
Yes this blotting will stop after you get your levels up and you level off. If it gets bad like it did for me my hands and feet were swollen bad so my Dr. gave me a water pill to take on Sun. and Wed. This worked until I leveled off. Guest guest
when u say level off what do you mean? the water weight/bloating will level off? Does the low E2 reading mean that I'm not converting my T into E2. From reading posts I would think that's a good thing. So eventually, with working out, my body will react posivitely to the TRT with regards to muscle increase and fat decrease (as i've read from many articles that TRT improves overall physique when T levels are low to begin with). This swollen condition..was it visable or something you felt? I guess my mega man multivitamin wasn't the 'solution' after all. though i continue to take it. I guess it was the week of TRT. I shouldn't have quit after only a week...but i wanted to understand my E2 before proceeding with it. My fiance said my body was probably just reacting to the Testim...guess she was right. but i had every reason to believe E2 was a player..glad i ruled that out. My uro gave me a 4month prescription of Testim...if i use it for 4 months will my testes completely shut down? and if so, will they start up if i quit? i want to to have children in the next few years...im 29 right now. i hear conflicting stories about this. my uro said i'll be fine...and that once i quit my testes will start up and produce on their own (rebound mechanism). there's no reason to believe my testes aren't producing T...as the indicating levels are all in the median range area (fsh/lh/prolactin). man i tell you...i never had such a great feeling of relief like i did last wknd when my libido was in high gear. if it was the TRT..is it gonna wear off? unfortunately i've read many posts where the libido was great and then dropped. but also, these posts had T levels in low 200s to begin with. all opinions welcomed... > > > What was the final consensus on Tofu? Guest guest
i didn't get my T levels checked. prior to starting the T i was at 446ng/dl and Free T was 2.4 (range was 1.5 - 5.3). i will get my T levels checked in two weeks...i restarted Testim this morning. retrogrouch@... wrote: On Fri, 04 Nov 2005 18:11:50 -0000, you wrote: >i got my results in front of me. Guest guest
What I mean but leveling off is you need to stay on the testim and get checked in the first 2 weeks and every 4 weeks after that until your levels come up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range. For both Total and Free T. Then your body will start to rebuild the damage done by having low T. It is not a over night thing it takes months to recover. That is what I call being leveled off. The feeling you got on one week of Testim or any kind of TRT for that matter was from your T levels going up higher then you first test level. But after a short time your brain will check to see if your T levels are good and see the T meds your taking. It is like your brain is checking your oil and seeing your ok so it stops sending the message to your testis to make more T. So lets say you first test level was 300 for Total T and you added 5 grams of Testim to the mix. Now you Total T will go up say to 450 your brain will check you levels and stop sending the LH and FSH to your testis and they will stop making T. now your 300 level that you started with will go down so now your at say 150 lower then you started. But this is short lived as the Testim starts getting into your blood and your body starts using it your levels will start to go back up. So you see it takes time. Most men that see a good Dr. and tell him you want to have kids later will check your seamen and if it is good have you freeze some to be on the safe side. Most men that are primary don't have good sperm because there testis don't work and that is why they have low T. Going on TRT because your T levels are low is for life. And stopping the T meds will set you back months and make you feel so sick that you may not be able to get to work. I could not get to work when I let some Endo stop my T meds to get what he called a base line blood test. Endo to me are the worst kind of DR. to see for low T I have seen 7 in the last 21 yrs. and never got anything from them but sicker. Keep getting tested every 4 to 6 weeks and check your E2 , DHT and DHEA with your T levels. The water will be less a problem in 3 to 6 weeks. Guest guest
thanks for your input phil. its very informative. i noticed your therapy includes much more than just TRT. is that cuz of other symptoms? my T levels were 390 at one point..then jumped to 480 one month later (after discontinueing propecia). its because of this i believe my T levels will be able to get back to normal over time..only im expediting it w/TRT. if i were to be on TRT all my life..and 5g Testim is doing the trick now..will it be like that forever?..or does body get immuned to it and dosages need to be increased? i guess everyone is different. if im on TRT forever go figure. as far as being primary or secondary hypo..i would say secondary seeing i went thru puberty just fine and testes have always been present and healthy. philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: What I mean but leveling off is you need to stay on the testim and get checked in the first 2 weeks and every 4 weeks after that until your levels come up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range. Guest guest
Well I have been on TRT for over 21 yrs. I never felt 100% until the first of this yr. On shots and HCG. As I am feeling 100% I am getting stronger losing weight and because of this having to lower my does of TRT. So no you don't get immuned to it but as your body repairs it's self from the damage done from Low T you may find you can get by on a low dose of 5 grams a androget a day. Phil Jack <rockin813@...> wrote: thanks for your input phil. its very informative. i noticed your therapy includes much more than just TRT. is that cuz of other symptoms? my T levels were 390 at one point..then jumped to 480 one month later (after discontinueing propecia). its because of this i believe my T levels will be able to get back to normal over time..only im expediting it w/TRT. if i were to be on TRT all my life..and 5g Testim is doing the trick now..will it be like that forever?..or does body get immuned to it and dosages need to be increased? i guess everyone is different. if im on TRT forever go figure. as far as being primary or secondary hypo..i would say secondary seeing i went thru puberty just fine and testes have always been present and healthy. philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: What I mean but leveling off is you need to stay on the testim and get checked in the first 2 weeks and every 4 weeks after that until your levels come up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range.
