Guest guest
Sounds good I knew a guy that had a low graid infection in his prostate and it lowed his testosterone levels. flyinresorts <flyinresorts@...> wrote: Hey guys, I went to the Uro today for my testicular pain. He did a digital exam of the prostate and noted it " slightly swollen " . He also commented that my nuts were " small " . He did a PSA as well. And I am scheduled for an ultrsound of my nuts. Hopefully a reason for my low T will be found. He prescribed an antibiotic and commented that the slight enlargement of the prostate might be why the testis hurt. So far, my labs show perfectly normal LH, but FSH is elevated. Prolactin is perfectly normal. MRI of the pituitary is normal. Guest guest
FYI Testosterone is a hormone subsidary to Prolactin. Low Prolactin, low Testosterone. But this is interesting. Doesn't sound like hypogonadism, not in the classic sense. Keep the group in the loop on your diagnosis. I'm interested in what the doc will find out, ok? philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: Sounds good I knew a guy that had a low graid infection in his prostate and it lowed his testosterone levels. flyinresorts <flyinresorts@...> wrote: Hey guys, I went to the Uro today for my testicular pain. Guest guest
i went to an endo once, a woman, who measured various body parts. When she got to my waist, she went " wow " (hey, it wasn't that big, but whatever...LOL). I was disappointed that when she got to my nuts she didn't say " wow " at that point. LOL. Actually my nuts are pretty big, they've always been, and I am lucky to be on HCG which keeps them from shrinking on TRT. Guest guest
Also Prolactin can antagonize T. Why is prolactin high in some men??? And is there a permanent cure for it to settle in any way????????? Mine is 215 in the UK unit within the range (86-324) IU/ml . But i want to work to get it down to 100, so it helps my T rise. (this is one mini solution to many of my problems). --- philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: > Sounds good I knew a guy that had a low graid > infection in his prostate and it lowed his > testosterone levels. > > flyinresorts <flyinresorts@...> wrote: > Hey guys, I went to the Uro today for my testicular > pain. Guest guest
one more thing on Dostinex, since I have a pituitary tumor, the endo said these are generally agressive and I will be on Dostinex for " many years " with annual MRI's to see if the tumor is shrinking Jim From: brownsaucylicious@... Guest guest
I can only say that Prolactin is a major hormone and that Testosterone is subsidary to Prolactin. If something is affecting your Prolactin don't be surprised that it effects your Testosterone too. Manterno Salerno <brownsaucylicious@...> wrote: Also Prolactin can antagonize T. Guest guest
Phil, what dose etc would you recommend for Arimidex, for me to try. And lets say I stop using it after 2-3 weeks. How long will it take for my NORMAL HORMONE LEVELS to get back to where they were BEFORE using ARIMIDEX. thnx. Guest guest
Take the 1mg. pill and cut it into 4 parts then take one part .25mgs every 3 days see if this gives you night time and morning wood if it does then your Estradiol is at the right level. If later you wood stops this means your going down to low so stop the arimidex until the wood comes back that day go back on it but do less .25mgs every 5 days. Note if your on this for more then 4 weeks and no wood stop taking it. Manterno Salerno <brownsaucylicious@...> wrote: Phil, what dose etc would you recommend for Arimidex, for me to try. Guest guest
do a wikipedia on arimidex. I think arimidex is the US name and it may (or may not) be called something else in the UK. Guest guest
Does DHEA play a role? My cortisol levels are very low, and I hear if cortisol is low then so is DHEA. Why is DHEA low? Guest guest
Here are some links about Adrenal Fatigue when your cortisol levels start acting up your DHEA takes a hit trying to help keep Cortisol levels up. After a time when Adrenals are real bad DHEA levels quit trying to help and come back up. http://www.lammd.com/A3R_brief_in_doc_format/adrenal_fatigue.cfm In this link go from stage to stage and read the charts and you can see this happen. http://www.chronicfatigue.org/ASI%201%20.html This is also good to read. http://www.tuberose.com/Adrenal_Glands.html As for testosterone you need to talk to your Dr. the treatments here in the US are not the same in the UK.
